I’d be interested in this functionality, too. I have a series of job listings with a standard template for each. Each template has an “apply now” button that takes the user to a different external URL where they can apply for the job. I’d like to be able to see what post the user is on when they click “apply.” Thanks!
(In the meantime, is it possible to track the actual link the user is taken to when they click on the button?)
Hi there,
Thanks for a great plugin. Rather than create yet another topic on missing descriptions I’m adding to this one. My problem is similar, except that I’m not using CDN. However, I do have a “tagline” description specified in WordPress General Settings, and I have All in One SEO settings with a separate description specified for the home page.
Problem = on the home page only, the home page description meta displayed by AiOSEO isn’t pulling through to the FB og:description. (the FB og:description pulls through fine on interior pages and posts)
URL=https://novofoundation.org/
I noticed AiOSEO is creating a duplicate set of meta info in my <head> area, so I commented out the top description meta (which was blank) to avoid conflicts. There still is a meta description listed in my page source under AiOSEO.
Just for kicks, I tried modifying my original meta description at the very top in header.php, which was recognized by Facebook og:description, but it then used that as the description for every interior page/post as well. (not what we want)
Currently, when I post a link to the novofoundation.org home page on Facebook, it grabs a random post excerpt for the description instead of the correct one (either WP Gen’l Settings or AiOSEO–they’re both the same description so I don’t care which as long as it’s correct)
In my header.php file, I don’t have any php within the meta description tag to auto-generate anything. It’s just blank.
Any ideas? Thanks very much for your help!
I’m also interested to know if this plugin can do that. Thanks!

In reply to: [Plugin: WP-SpamFree Anti-Spam] Was working well until recentlyWe’ve also been seeing this problem recently. Everything was fine for so long, and suddenly over the past month an incredible amount of spam has been coming through. We submitted spam logs to the plugin author and after 1 week of not hearing anything I gave them a call.
They said they’re aware of this problem and are working internally and with WordPress to try to get it fixed. Unfortunately, they didn’t have an estimate on when they think that’ll happen, but they said to keep an eye out for a plugin upgrade that hopefully will include a fix.
Meantime, we’re going to have to switch plugins until this can be resolved. Disappointing because it’s an otherwise great plugin.
Hm… I just switched to UTC-5 instead of New York in the WP general options, and my times appear to be correct in the calendar display now. Will have to go in and switch again at daylight savings’ time, but it seems to have fixed it for now.

In reply to: [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] WP 2.8.4 and NEXTGen seems doesn’t work properlyWe’re having the exact same problem. NextGen was working fine before upgrading to WP 2.8.4, but now only displays blank boxes / file names. We can see the galleries / images in the backend, but they’re not displaying on the gallery page or sidebar widget. Help, please?

In reply to: 2.7 made a custom page template but can’t find itHave you tried saving your .php file in a straight-up text editor rather than Dreamweaver, and then checking to see if WP will recognize it? Your problem sounds very similar to one I had recently when trying to use a child theme I’d created using DW to edit the code. The code itself was exactly the same, but something about the way DW saved it caused an error with WP. When I saved the exact same file in Dashcode (or TextMate or whatever) it worked fine. Maybe worth a shot.
