Thank you for all your advice! I’m not sure how to turn the Jetpack CSS or JS settings off, but I did disable the Monster Insight plugin. I also learned how to disable the jetpack plugin, through the panel, so I turned it off for a while like you advised.

I have set up my website on my own, and it’s been a lot of trial and error to say the least, and getting it wrong until I get it right, but also a learning experience.
