In reply to: [DreamSpeed CDN (RETIRED)] Thumbnail Links BrokenThat’s cool. I’ll look into it. If I get lucky and find the issue I’ll let you know.

In reply to: [DreamSpeed CDN (RETIRED)] Thumbnail Links BrokenSo, It seems it is just Woocommerce but I am really waiting for more images that use thumbnails elsewhere to propagate.
In the plugin for Woo: Woocommerce > Settings > Products > there are separate media sizes specific to the plugin. I did find product images in the DreamObjects folder but slightly different that the sizes specified in Woo’s media settings.
Example:
if you go to: https://fidoloves.com/shop/101-dog-tricks-teach-your-dog-a-new-trick/in the sidebar, there is a missing thumbnail for “The Puppy Primer”, if you check the image url it is
https://cdn.fidoloves.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/The-Puppy-Primer-0-90×90.jpgbut that particular size is not in the objects folder. There are of course other sizes…
Let me know if there is anything I can do to help, or access you might need. I am not particularly married to Woo as it is an experiment. But it is a popular enough plugin that others will have the same issues.
Jay
Thank you, I think Cloudflare is fine as long as you create a CNAME for your “cdn.yoursite.com” in their DNS setting and bypassing Cloudflare’s cdn capabilities.
I am running into issues with thumbnail links breaking in Woocommerce and theme related custom slideshows. I am going to open a support thread and turn it back on so you might take a look at what is happening. I can’t seem to sort it out.
Have any of the suggestions above for adding responsive capabilities been added to the Ad Rotate plugin? I am surprised so many of the advertisement solutions are this far behind the curve.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Sitemap appears to be an HTML pageI thought I would mention I am having the exact same problem with my sitemap either unrecognized or throwing a html warning. Either way, webmaster tools does not like the sitemap coming from Yoast’s SEO plugin. I have not had problems in the past.

In reply to: [Qoate Newsletter Signup] [Plugin: Qoate Newsletter Signup] Sidebar WidgetThe side bar widget is fantastic. I am not sure if you created directions for what the fields in the widget do for others.
At least in Safari, in the wordpress widget admin panel. the checkbox and the “Use Name Field?” overlap, I assume there is a tweak needed in the CSS.
In the widget panel- the Pre Form Text field could be bigger. I would also call it “Description Text:” or Newsletter Description.
Awesome job!

In reply to: [Qoate Newsletter Signup] [Plugin: Qoate Newsletter Signup] Sidebar WidgetI doubt I would buy it again. The form itself is nice, but after you spend $40 you are on your own. I have seen much better tutorials and support for the free plugins. Even if there was an article out there on how to use it to it’s potential, you would never find it in the sea of affiliate articles telling you how you can’t live without it.
You can use a Mailchimp Widget with Gravityforms if you spend another $160 for a developers license.
Live and learn…
What you are doing with your plugin is a much better way to make it easier for people to subscribe to a newsletter regardless or what service you use. I am guessing you will pull off the widget as well. Which is simply awesome.
Once word gets out that there is a way to add a checkbox to your comment form and a sidebar widget that will work with Mailchimp or Aweber, allowing double confirmation, you will have a top wordpress plugin.

In reply to: [Qoate Newsletter Signup] [Plugin: Qoate Newsletter Signup] Sidebar WidgetI have widget I created using GravityForms, but it does not automatically add the email and name to my Mailchimp list. Here is a page from my website with the widget in the side bar and your checkbox next to the comment form. https://thurly.net/urr
It would be nice if you could write a quick widget Title, description, a field for email and perhaps name and other custom fields the newsletter plugin just received.
I was already tempted to email you inquiring if you knew how to hook the form fields with Gravity, then it occurred to me you could just as easily create a widget.
What do you think?
I agree, a way for a reader to download the details through an ical download is really important.
otherwise, really nice job!

In reply to: [Qoate Newsletter Signup] [Plugin: Qoate's Newsletter Signup] Newsletter FormAwesome Job,
It works perfectly.
You should add the ability to leave the newsletter checkbox checked or unchecked. I also want to figure out how to bold the text so it more closely matches the subscribe to comments line.
This is a much needed plugin. I have searched from weeks for this. I will go back and rate as well as give a donation. Great Job!

In reply to: [Qoate Newsletter Signup] [Plugin: Qoate's Newsletter Signup] Newsletter FormQoate,
Where would you put the line of PHP in your comment file if you wanted it to appear when someone was signed out? I keep getting the check box showing up after I have left a comment.
I use the Subscribe to comments plugin and wold like to make it appear next to that checkbox.
I really want to get this to work, it is a great way to pick up newsletter subscriptions
Thanks Jay

In reply to: [Qoate Newsletter Signup] [Plugin: Qoate's Newsletter Signup] Newsletter FormHey Qoate,
Glad to see you are updating this. I just updated the plugin and will reinstall. I found the Mail Chimp form feeds, it was not that hard.
Thank you

In reply to: Short Meta Descriptions, GoogleI am still having problems with my meta description tags, google is still penalizing me for short tags. The Tags are at 200 characters, well above Googles standards.
I am now only showing one meta description but it is buried below other lines of code when you “view source my website.
If anyone has a moment could you take a peek. I am beyond frustrated at this point. I have changed out the SEO plug in enough times to know there needs to be a problem somewhere else.
Thanks Jay

In reply to: Short Meta Descriptions, Googlethere was a line of code in the theme using my website tagline as content description for content. I removed it and it now displays one Meta Description.
I am going to let the dust settle then revisit which SEO plugin I should be using. all in one, headspace, ultimate?
Thanks for looking at this quickly, it would not be possible for me to have this website if it were not for the wordpress community.
