Well I guess I understand why I don’t like this plugin, it’s extremely limited in it’s display abilities.

Upcoming important dates in history would be pretty awesome.

I’ve even seen other posts other users desire for the ability to show the month’s data.

Perhaps you have 15 entries per day, but I’m lucky to have 15 entries for 2 months.

I’ve entered into all of the fields and confirmed per the help section.

It’s supposed to show up in the widget but just isn’t there.

Could you please remove the domain mame and replace it with automatic expiring URL shortener which I provided?

If shorteners aren’t allowed, please remove it.

The URL is open to the public where search engines will capture this information, which I don’t prefer.

Thanks for the tips, I’ll check it out.

I performed a password reset for the customer.

when I attempted to log in as him, it did not work with both the following:

    username & newpassword
    email & newpassword

so, my customer, and probably other customers, are unable to login and must checkout as a guest.

I changed the order ID prefix and the first 2 times there was no more error.

Yay, I think we can check this one off the list.

Have NO idea why this occurred, the order numbers are sequential from day one with this wordpress/woocommerce/paypal (all brand new at the same time, not used with others).

I still think it’s in the PayPal side somewhere, MAYBE they changed something in the history logs which corrupted the ability of the website to function properly.

I’ve had banks swap my personal information with other customers information more than once. The bank did it, not intentionally, but somehow these big databases get jumbled and juggled.

PayPal is definitely no exception to that and I’d support this accusation based on the fact that everything was new, there wasn’t anything to overlap order numbers on my side.

Off to the next item on the list….

I’ll start a new thread, but here it is:

The returning customer login does not remember anyone.

Mike Jolley & KimSF, your dedication to helping others in this site gives wordpress such a great value. Thank you! I certainly hope that you both are paid for your work here, because you deserve it.

I used to think it was my customers at first, after about 3 or 4 times, I knew something was wrong.

Paypal’s “tech support department” which is called service and site suport, is totally imcompetent. Talked to nearly 8 different techs and they all have a different answer that pretty much ends the call and has no solution.

well it’s not going to hurt anything, like you say it’s safe, to change the order id prefix, I’ll do that and rule it out.

the new email was also a new paypal together with new website using woocommerce for thte first time all together.

I’ll try your other suggestiongs as well and see what I can come up with.

how do you like the subscription plugin?

I’m looking for one and haven’t found one that looks like it works for me yet…

Sounds like it’s possible to do what I’m after?

same discount setting for product x and product y.

purchase 1 x and 1 y, and obtain the discount for 2 units of product?

They were working smoothly, flawlessly, for 2 years, until October 2015 I started seeing problems with the customers.

By December, the problem grew to a much larger frequency rate, 50% of the orders I can see are pending.

Customers have to try, 2, 3, 4 times just to get it through, and even then it ends up in a pending status 50% of the time.

So of order attempts vs. successful orders, the successful order rate has got to be below 20%.

All the Customers are repeat customers, and they are getting more & more unhappy.

It’s a recipe for website disaster if this is not solved.

I understand the unique invoice ID’s, but surely it’s not the case here because this woocommerce store was created with this paypal address. They were both brand new when they were linked together. There are no other stores or other paypal addresses connected or associated in the past or present, it’s a unique 1 to 1 relationship.

Anytime I’ve scene one of these errors, it was together with the other.

Well should the zip code even be relevant at this point during the time the customer is on the product website?

The reason I mention is because anyone with a credit card can enter and have paypal charge it, even if they don’t have a paypal account. So if you haven’t given PayPal a credit card, they can’t confirm billing zip codes yet.

I’m even trying my test example as a new customer…

Thanks for the reply Kimsf! Some good info!

I did have a different website before woocommerce, but it used Google checkout. Since google was closing business, I made a new site with wordpress/woocommerce/paypal.

I searched with Order numbers and nothing shows up.

I’ll keep searching, maybe I’ll get lucky, but I doubt it.

I’ve searched this issue, usually related to multiple websites connected to one paypal address.

I have one website/ one paypal address.

There’s a new invoice created for each order, or at least there should be. Can’t view the “invoice,” but I can view the order and see the order number.

Nothing to see inside PayPal, (over the phone) they don’t see anything, how could I find IPN info there? I’m searching and can’t find a thing. would I have to have the debug logging ON in woocommerce?

I got a screenshot sent to some “back office” department at PayPal and waiting to hear back from them.

I have 2 products, I’d like to have customers get the discount when they mix them together.

So with this template, a customer can order item X and item Y to get the discount rate for buying 2 items?

Even though they are not the same product?
(example: 1 orange and 1 apple)

Is there any documentation on setting this up? I’m not familiar with template products, let alone ones that are hiding! ??

Ok, just tried it and the first one said.

“This invoice has already been paid. For more information, please contact the merchant.”

    “Your purchase couldn’t be completed
There’s a problem with the merchant’s PayPal account. Please try again later.”

I remember I got this before, and I called paypal instantly and they said there is not any problem with my account.

If my memory is correct, I do believe there are other errors that show up, that this isn’t the only one. Gonna keep trying.
