Hi Rob, Hoping that you can help. I have not upgraded to 2.0.3 because of the disappearing fields in the venue/organizer information. Someone said that setting permalinks fixed this, but I’ve got permalinks set and that didn’t happen, so I have not upgraded my live site. So my problem now is that I need to change a number of “organizer” website links. I’ve gone into the post and post_meta tables but the post IDs don’t seem to match up — I can’t tell in post_meta which link is attached to which post. Any ideas on how I can do this, without individually re-entering each event? Is there a bug fix en route for this? If you’d like to see the site, it is https://treehousebainbridge.com , and I want to create more direct links to the ticketing pages. (“Buy Tickets” = “Organizer”) Thanks!

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] [Plugin: The Events Calendar] Data not saving in fieldsSo I have upgraded to 2.0.3 and I am able to make changes to the Event Organize and Event Location — BUT once I update, those fields are blank on the edit event post page. The changes are visible on the site. However, if I go in to update again — and don’t fill out all the fields — previously entered information is lost (the fields are emptied). Will there be an additional update soon, or do you think something went wrong with my upgrade? Thanks!

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] [Plugin: The Events Calendar] Data not saving in fieldsgerobe, I agree — can you please tell me what table and field to look in, to make these edits if necessary? At this point in site development I am pretty committed to this plug-in, so I have to figure out a work-around until the bug is fixed. Thank you!

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] [Plugin: The Events Calendar] Data not saving in fieldsI am having the same problem — forgot to include organizer info and link when I created the event, and now when I go back to add that information it is not being saved. Even if I fill in all fields the new data is not saved. I hit “publish” and my additions disappear. I’m hoping this is a bug that will be fixed in the upcoming update? Right now what I am not able to save is: location, organizer, and organizer link. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Dear Rob,
Thank you so much, yes, I can certainly wait, and look forward to the update. Your calendar program is great — easy to customize and perfect for our needs. I really appreciate your quick response. Thanks again!
Hi Rob, Thank you for your reply. I just added the calendar to a second site — still very much in development ?? — but you can view the issue at https://tigerlilysattic.com/tigerlily/schedule/ — the “schedule” page is the calendar page, and you can see that the link does not show as active/current, although the other pages do. I tried swapping out my theme for the Twenty Eleven theme and the problem still exists. In both sites I have given the calendar page a different name than “events”, could that have anything to do with it? Thanks again.
Hi, I have 2.01 loaded and I am having the opposite problem — I’ve given my calendar page the name “Calendar” rather than “Events” — the Calendar shows up fine, but on my menu the page name does not show as current, and when I check the code it does not say current-menu-item as it does for any of the other pages when they are selected. Any ideas? Other than this, the plug-in works great. Thanks!

In reply to: list posts under categoryThank you so much, that really helped. Now I have the problem that when I click on any category, it brings up all categories alphabetically with the post excerpts listed beneath each. How can I limit it strictly to the selected category? I went through the links you recommended (good information) but couldn’t find a way to limit it to the category selected by the user. (Lots of information about limiting it to a category that I select, though.) Thanks again.
