2nd issue. When I scroll down on a page with lots of images as in long list of products in the ecommerce store section, the bottom images don’t load at all. No with lazy load on or off.

Could Jetpack and my cdn be interfering with each other?

Nevermind. I found the answer in the Woocommerce documentation. This is not customization.

These two shortcodes will display your product categories on any page.

[product_category] – Will display products in a specified product category.
[product_categories] – Will display all your product categories.
Available Product Category attributes
ids – Specify specific category ids to be listed. To be used in [product_categories]
category – Can be either the category id, name or slug. To be used in [product_category]
limit – The number of categories to display
columns – The number of columns to display. Defaults to 4
hide_empty – The default is “1” which will hide empty categories. Set to “0” to show empty categories
parent – Set to a specific category ID if you would like to display all the child categories. Alternatively, set to “0” (like in the example below) to show only the top level categories.
orderby – The default is to order by “name”, can be set to “id”, “slug”, or “menu_order”. If you want to order by the ids you specified then you can use orderby="include"
order – States whether the category ordering is ascending (ASC) or descending (DESC), using the method set in orderby. Defaults to ASC.

OK I have removed the code you have suggested and as I’ve already indicated all of the categories are now gone. What do you suggest now? I now have no categories at all.

This is the code that is in there. If it is not present then I would not have any categories.

OK. I have followed your instructions. I installed and activated Storefront theme and then disabled all plugins except Woocommerce. I then opened a private window and tried in both Mircrosoft Edge and in Chrome on desktop. I also tried with Microsoft Edge on Android. The order is still wrong. I don’t know what else to do. It’s not the theme or any other plugin.

I have uploaded a screenshot of it. This screenshot is with Storefront theme and the only plugin on is Woocommerce.

As you can see the category list is on the right and the 6 categories on the left under the main photo don’t match. The order is different. Please advise.

Yes the categories are in the correct order in project/category but still not in correct order on the website. Yes cache etc all cleared. Even logged in with private browser etc.

I have a CDN and I have cleared it’s cache as well.

and now the subcategories are all showing up but the order is still wrong.

This is all very helpful. My images are actually offloaded through a CDN called bunny.net so that may be part of the explanation. I will turn off lazy load and delete all the images on bunny.net and have it reload them all.

Only other question I have is when Smush finds an image it cannot smush how do I tell what that image is? it just says image is ID 991. I cannot find any image ID numbers in the media library so how do I know which image it is referring to?

The category sorting does not match the order I have them in the products/category listing like you are saying. The way I have them listed in product/category is the same as I have them in the menu at the top of my page. So something is not correct.

The issue with not showing more than 6 subcategories shows up when I put the main categories into 6 columns. I’ll put it that way so you can see for your self or if you want a screen shot I can do that as well. You are welcome to log into the website and see for yourself.

The way I am trying to get it to work is the main 6 categories showing in 6 columns under the main image with the sorting matching the menus at the top of the page (Which also matches the way they show in product category).

When you click on any of the 6 categories it will display all the subcategories.

Right now the website is still being built so most of the main categories don’t have subcategories as of yet.

I’m even more confused. Smush is now putting up a requestor telling me that I need to resize some images. It says the images are too small for the container they are in. It says the images I am using are 300×300 and that they need to be 378×378.

However the images I have uploaded to the media library are actually 1200×1200. And even more confusing is when I right click the image on my website and download it, it is downloading the image as a 600×600. It’s obviously not undersized. It’s oversized.

A second issue has developed/ Once I click on one of the categories to show the subcategories, it is only showing 6 subcategories. I cannot find anything that allows me to change that.
