i have this problem too and also asked without any one answered.
Rather frustrated now,maybe WP is not so famous as it tried to be ( found that it’s not easy to do little thing )
I’m using zenphoto as gallery and it ccan be used as blog too,guess have to change boat.

i found that if i change 728>a lesser width like 428,the ad totally disappeared.
Any more tips?

i just uploaded the wordpress.zip that i dloaded to the site,then
my host 000,extracted them for me.

and you have to upload the newsaved wp-congif to wordpress folder not other.

i used to have problem too,5minutes ago but your solostream link helped me figure out the problem.
I use ooowebhost and problem lied in that i didnt setup MySQL on my host.
After i set them up it will show db-name,pswd,…those that you have to fill in your wp-config,that’s it!
