I tried the helper and it looks like it may be a custom theme conflict. I have never had this issue with the Yoast plugin on my themes and have been using the plugin for many years. I will look into what is causing the theme conflict. Any other suggestions? Thanks

Same issue here. The Search Appearance settings disappear after I update to Yoast version 18.3 on WordPress 5.8.3. All I can see is the tabs at the top (General, Content Types, Media, etc.).

Is there a workaround for this? I have many custom sites that I can’t just mass update to WordPress 5.9.
