1. Don’t know about the title – we don’t show the title on the site. Could you post the code, I’m just curious. By the way, you’ve notices that the font on the title is bigger and thinner? It might be connecter to the problem.
2. Menu bar items were changed. – Same in our site, it’s just the menu is shorter so I wasn’t bother with that. I suspect they put some sort of pudding that makes the bar is wider (I don’t like it, I’ve already asked in the post just before yours) and the distance between words is bigger that leads to make it go to 2d line. Another thin, that might be connected or might be not. Search box, when you click, is different. I like the previous more but I didn’t even notice it until you asked about menue.
3. “presentation of posts in the control panel…” – what do you mean?

1. Font size is working, but it’s 1.6, if anybody else is interested. And now, with 1.6rem, the site is passing the test for being mobile friendly.
2. It didn’t affect the title on pages (posts are OK). It’s still too small. What I mean it became smaller after update & I was hoping that if all the text will be bigger the title will became bigger too. It didn’t. BTW, in posts there is a kind of frame all around the content and it doesn’t exist on pages. Maybe it is connected with the title being different.
3. Other thing that I hoped will be fixed with text being bigger.

• a. Normal text is the same. But bold text is thinner then before. Before it was too thick, now it’s too thin… I don’t even know what to choose, you’ll consult your designers.
• b. And this one is wired. Somehow text in bold became paler and lighter. It’s not as contrast as before. And the colours look lighter. I don’t know how it’s possible because the codes for the colours are the same… Is it because it’s not as thick as before?!?
• c. The spacing between the lines is different. I could live with that but I think it looked better before. Anyway, let your team know and let them decide what to do with that.

On unrelated matter. When I was adding additional CSS, I found the code:

.taxonomy-description {
    display: none;
}

I’m 100% sure that when I installed the theme, ages ago, there was nothing in there.

Question: Do you know what it is? Why do I need it? What happens if I delete it?

Found it! It’s in Elementor! Whoever worked with this site before instead of hiding the title through the theme option did it in Elementor. And over there this option is very well hidden!

Examples (both pages have settings “show page title”:

In N2 you could see two “lines” – that shows that title suppose to be shown. With “not show” in this theme it would be no line shown.

As I mention above, “Page title settings” is on “show page title”. For some pages it works, for the others – it doesn’t.

To be honest, it’s a puzzle. I’ve got about a dozen pages like that. It’s time, but I could make the new ones that will be normal. I hope :). But still, I wonder how it was done. Was it some sort of glitch, or because those pages were done on free and migration to paid virtue did something. Or was it done deliberately. In that case, where did they change this?

Oh, I found my problem. Apparently, after update to WP6 (& some related plugins’) the connection to sharethis account was broken. When I went to settings it was “login to your account” somewhere on the line. When I logged in, everything was restored.

@ar2007 did it help (uninstalling-reinstalling). I’ve just noticed that I have something similar…

Finally it disappeared. So it was cashed somewhere, more likely at the hosting (I do another site with different hosting, and over there files are not accessible as son as I delete them).

I’ve already done it, wrote in previous message. That’s why I’m so puzzled.

Now I’ve got the problem with google :(. I removed old file, but google is still letting me download from the SERP the fil under old address… I might blame it on my browser cash, but it feels like an actual download (and yes, she doesn’t have a cash plugin, maybe the hosting do some cashing?!?).

?? I’ve just found it myself and was about to post it – after your question I compared the link with her “free sample” thing and found the difference.

So, do I get it right, to correct the problem on existing page I should:
1. open existing page
2. go to the section with download file
3. upload file from that section rather then upload to the media library first

I suspect that it was exactly how it happened, she tried it with free sample, everything was honky-dory, then she kind of forgot how she uploaded or didn’t think it should be done only through download section on the page.

Link was picked up by Google Search, I guess, because during transition period new hosting asked to deactivate all the plugins and my friend didn’t do everything fast enough and GoogleBot indexed the file.

Your image is too small (in pixels). So when it is being upscaled it becomes distorted (it’s kind of like you have space for 4 pixels but the image only 1 pixel, so software add extra 3 pixels predicted according some algorithms).

When I asked, ages ago, what dimensions should be for the featured image, I didn’t get straight answer, so I had to experiment with my site (it has different layout). For yours – it looks like the height should be no less then 900px. Maybe developers will tell you more on the subject…

Если бы хотите вставлять рекламу по типу длинного баннера, то в этой теме есть зарезервированный виджет (см демо темы), вставляете в шапку чрез него, без всякой модификации header.php. Соответственно, такой баннер проявится на всех страницах.

BTW, I found section in the docs that I don’t entirely understand, it’s “Download Files Not Protected on NGINX”. Simple online scanner shows for that website that it runs on OpenResty. Could it be the reason for that problem?
