Yeh, I have never experienced problem with the plugin’s open graph function, expect not sure what to do with buddypress’s activity stream feature, where site activities will be automatically included, post previews, excerpts, etc, alot there to grab, hard to give hints to NGFB.

Back to this post subject, if there’s another plugin conflicts with NGFB’s cache function, is there a work around to help with the compatibility? If I choose to run NGFB in debug mode the whole time, would that be a problem?

I’m going to test the two plugins with some major cache plugins to see what happen, if “subscribe to comments reloaded” not just having problem with NGFB but also other pplugins, I’ll mark this as resolved right away.

Thank you so much for your time js, cheers!

Uploaded and activated, with debug on.

Nope, nothing language related, the core is untouched too, just in case, I’m going to switch it to default theme to get rid of any custom functions in the child theme.

Debug is on now, but then the problem can’t be shown too. I don’t see where are we going now but will try my best to cooperate… Just pls speak to me in layman’s terms lol.

Yeh I should? I thought it functions with a default value, cause I found WP doesn’t work bilingually (I don’t mean several versions of one site for different readers from different countries… that’s not bilingual right? ??

Anyway, I surely will follow your instruction, just did give it back its value.

Here’s where I test all the plugins I gathered, that’s alot, so I didn’t dare to let people have a look…

Post a comment and choose a subscription type, then try to unsubscribe from the link at the bottom, hopefully you can replicate the issue, a blank page.

You’re like the serious serious developer I ever run into, man you rock!

Turn out it’s a cache problem, once all the cache function is off, the management page’s back on its feet.

So the create a real management page option is out-dated, the virtual one won’t work with cache plugins… do we have any other option? Please advice.

Thanks for the prompt reply & sorry if I didn’t provide enough info, guess that’s not best practise, please accept it from a rookie ??

I tried a couple of things, the silence debug option came with the UI, which didn’t show me much except things like how NGFB disabled some social buttons on my bp_activity page. I don’t see any error term.

With the WP debug and log included option, I got a couple of these (actually a very long list), but they’re about the same so let me sum up:

[05-Dec-2013 …] PHP Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in …/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-facebook/lib/opengraph.php on line 42

[05-Dec-2013 …] PHP Warning: htmlentities() expects parameter 1 to be string, object given in …/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-facebook/lib/head.php on line 195

So it turned out, if I kept the debug mode on, the other plugin (Subscribe to comments reloaded) starts back to work. I assume it’s because NGFB’s cache function is off in debug mode.

My option is to turn on debug mode all the time and try to install some other cache plugin which includes the option to exclude folder/plugin, in order to get everything to work together, or there’s somehow other method to get NGFB to get along with other plugins?

Any advice will be much much appreciated, and anyway, thanks for the great plugin.

Not for me, not related to the slash at the end, only difference that made between a blank page and a 404 page…

Turn out, it’s not I filtered the results wrong, but the plugin seemed not working on every bbpress(plus buddypress) page, guess I need to dig into more template files…

So my questions down to only one:

Q: how can I get rid out the title, default “Tag Cloud”?

Any help will be much appreciated!

Thanks for the advice, and I guess I’ll look into add action to those predefine function they offered, I’m looking at a bunch of codes like before activity content, all sorts of hooks that giving me headache… But worth a try I guess.

Good effect on all your plugins, and support you give Here, thanks bro ?? good day!

Well, the situation is, I solely try to get it to work on buddypress pages, kind of my site’s main feature. So, I test with insert code before content (that’s the part I want to do sth with), echo a paragraph, worked when it was still a plain page, then I assigned the buddypress page to it, then the echo thingy gone. Then I tried with all the setting available with code insert, so far no luck. I don’t know if the buddypress activity stream page’s structure is getting in the way, or it tricks the plugin to ignore the page. Totally out of my league to sort out the real situation. Sorry that I can’t give you more specific info.

Dear Max, this is like the fastest response there can ever be, much appreciated.

I was looking for a way to customize those buddypress pages, like insert some shortcodes in the top part of the activity stream, to showcase some new posts excerpts.

I tried to help the plugin recognize the page by setting it as home, or choose where to insert code by author page, all pages, etc. So far no luck. Any advice? Slug? Custom Taxonomies?

    Thanks alot.

Mixed up, sorry, totally my child theme’s problem, marked as resolved, thanks!

Sorry guys, really not much to share, in fact, I don’t think I did much help to Lutetia too. To clarify again, I’m no pro, so better leave the “support” from this forum to the pros.

I’m so much looking forward to the next update too, meanwhile, taking closer look inside themes like DW Minion, to learn more about responsive functions and cross browser compatibility, take some code from here and there trying to get a workaround, nothing promising yet, My first wordpress site is not even half done, so, who am I to provide a so called “fix” here, Should apologize for giving you guys the wrong impression though.

PS. So much to learn, fun to build with, indeed patience needed too, I waited for the 502 Bad gateway Message to leave www.ads-software.com alone for like an hour, lol.

Yes I guess, I have used the contact sheet on your site, you should have my test server address, and link to my child theme files now, so you can check out the result before you study my revised version.

I didn’t receive any auto reply after using your contact sheet though, hope it’s working properly.
