I had run all of the updates with no resolution. I just changed Sunday evening to using Genesis Parallax Pro, and my problem is resolved. Thanks for your reply.

I’m running Responsive Version: 1.9.8.1 with a child theme, and just updated to WordPress 4.5 but no change.

Upon further investigation the buttons are also missing on pages such as the archive and category pages, so you can only get the first page of the indexed posts on those pages.

Sorry I forgot the link text, such is life at 3AM. There comes a time to forget about whatever problem a website has and to just go to bed. That was a good indicator for me.

BTW Herbert, The problem they had with the “Default Text” in the copyright that you solved a couple of weeks back, was taken care of in the last update.

Thanks for your reply. I appreciate the strength of iThemes Security and the work that you guys are doing on it. I’ve submitted the request and do hope that it is implemented. I had stopped using the Plug-in on additional sites because of the extensive changes it made in the WordPress database and files, and the degree of difficulty in reversion to the original site. It almost became a situation where the cure was worse than the disease.

Having a removal tool, uninstall tool or, even a removal checklist to follow would go a long way in putting us users back in the comfort zone.

I’m not as knowledgeable as I should be I was looking at the results of the W3C mobileOK Checker which was telling me that IFrame was bad to use, giving a “Critical Error” and was trying alternatives to increase the score. I guess IFrame isn’t that bad to use then. Or is it? Is there an alternative?

For those of you that had problems and were trying to get a copy of the old version, you really should learn how to back up the files and database of your websites.

I’ve got the same error as everyone else.

There are no white spaces in the wp-config file, the update is broken it is that simple. Deactivating the plug-in in the plug-ins page on the dashboard will remove the problem, and I have reverted to the old version for now. Will watch for a bug update before installing an update.
