In reply to: Dashboard broken after renaming folderThought I’d bump this to see if anyone knows if this can be edited inside Godaddy, or a re install is on the cards.
Thanks..

In reply to: Dashboard broken after renaming folderThanks for the tip, but that hasn’t fixed it unfortunately.
Is my only option left to re install now? Thought there might be an option inside Godaddy to change the ftp path but can’t see anything.

In reply to: Dashboard Messed UpOK, the patch did not work, but I think the problem is because of something I’ve done.
When i look at My Applicatons in Godaddy, it states my url as www.(mysite).com/blog
It should read www.(mysite).com/wordpress
A few days ago i changed the root folder name from WordPress to blog, updated the links, but the blog screwed up.
I changed the name back to WordPress and everything was fine, then the Dashboard broke.
So i guess i just need to change the url in my applications from ‘blog’ back to ‘WordPress’. Can I do this without doing a re installation?

In reply to: Dashboard Messed UpHave also just queued the patch so hope i get the same results.
Must also add I haven’t experienced any problems with Godaddy for the past two years I have used them. These are my first steps with WordPress and will keep an open mind to see how it goes.
Maybe it’s a case of them still getting up to speed with WordPress after their own blogging software was unsuccessful, dumped it, and went in with WordPress.
Will keep you posted on the patch update..

In reply to: Dashboard Messed UpYeah I’ll keep an eye on it and see how it goes. Will try Host Gator next time and compare how they run.
Thanks for the info.

In reply to: Have I gone about this all wrong?! Editing themes..Any thoughts on how i can get the submit button to work on the comments page?
If you go to the site here, then Blog, click the first cat ‘web design and development’, make a reply, fill in details. It moves away from the local site when submit is hit.
Is the Tut i followed designed with a comments section in mind?
Thank you for any help.

In reply to: Have I gone about this all wrong?! Editing themes..So esmi’s link shows a different way of tackling this. But before i start from scratch, is the tutorial i followed above correct? And is it still possible to work esmi’s link with what i have done so far?
I’am happy with how it works, up until someone clicks the ‘Submit Comment’ button when replying to an article.
Right now, if someone go’s to ‘Web Design and Development’ category , then clicks on ‘no comments’ to post a comment, fills their details and submits, the next page moves away from my local site to the WordPress one.
How can i rectify this? It’s a little frustrating as otherwise it all looks and works exactly how i would like. It’s just the issue of submitting a reply.
Can i work the above methods into what i have done already, or is this a start again scenario?
Thanks for reading another novel ??
