I apologize for writing in the wrong place.
In fact, the plug-in is not Portfolio Gallery – Photo Gallery but huge-it video player 1.2.4 that make sure it did not work with WP 4.9.
I solved this problem by replacing the plug-in in question with your huge-it video gallery 2.2.0 plug-in.
I wonder if the huge-it video player 1.2.4 will be upgraded because up to wp 4.8 has worked perfectly and was very light.

themes lose settings;
etc ..

the strange thing is that old backups are installed without errors in localhost.
