In reply to: How to remove the “category” folderSorry to but in, but there’s a disconnect here in understanding the problem I believe.
The OP is referring to the word “category”, not the catetory’s name. When browsing by category, I get both – the word ‘category’ and the name of the category itself.

I *think* what he wants is to eliminate the word ‘category’, not the category’s name.
I’d like this too, but it’s a nit…I have much more to worry about…like writing…;)

In reply to: table gets pushed to the bottom for no reason!I’m probably way off base here and just barely qualified to answer, but I had the same issue when just inserting a table in a post by hand. The entire table dropped to the bottom and couldn’t figure it out until I saw this thread:

Where Kafkaesqui states: “I think your best option, until the WordPress devs fix this, is when inserting a table in a post place all of the table on a single line, editing out all line breaks between the opening <table> and closing </table> tags. This will keep WordPress from inserting break tags, which is the cause of what you’re seeing.“
I removed all extra spaces & linebreaks and it now works like a charm. Even if this is the same issue it probably won’t help with your plugin, but thought this might help figure out what’s going on.

In reply to: Email Problems“Does Godaddy support sendmail on linux?”
Yup, or to be precise I don’t know, but email notifications are working for me so if sendmail is the way it works, then yes.
Fortunately I set up on linux from the beginning but I believe they have a painless way to switch from win to linux. It’s pretty obvious if I remember right.

Scary thing is, I even have a glimmer of understanding the solution. Now the question is, is it a hack, or is it elegant?

In reply to: An unusual WordPress incarnationI think it’s stunning. Very nice. I did notice on the first page of the blog proper, all external links have an extra space or two after them. It’s not in the link code, but might be in the “liexternal” class?
I’m new here, but am mightily impressed by your work.

In reply to: The GoDaddy Installation Fixstonecreek, you. da. man.
First try, awesome success. Thank you *very much* for your trouble, and the clarity with which you wrote this.BTW, some FTP clients may not make how to do the permissions obvious. Using Cyberduck, for example, you enable checkboxes for ‘group’ and ‘other’ to allow writing, rather than change a numeric field, but it shows the number changing above the checkboxes.
