A simian for all seasons

I’m on mac and it’s got a screen grabber – I’m just curious as to how you attached the image to your post. I think I’ve made some progress with turning off the ‘read more’ and unwanted meta stuff. Now my post image is absent. One step forward.. such is life.

Thanks a bunch for your help – I was going to to try and put up an image to show where I was looking but couldn’t find an attachment button.. how’d you do it?

ok –?thanks @logologics. I have no idea what I’m doing. I can’t even find the OceanWP customiser. I thought that what I’m trying to do was automatically on by default. Between all of these theme things and wp and elementor, I’ve got quite the confused state going on. I’ll do what you said. I also had trouble just finding this forum, so I don’t know how I’ll find the one you mentioned – but I’ll try.

Please – can someone help me! I’m going out of my mind here!

Thanks again @cavalierlife – I’ll give the link a go in a minute. I’m finding all of this rather daunting. The last time I made a WordPress site was in 2012 and it appears that I’ve forgotten everything that I learned then. Also – using this new fangled Elementor thing is further rattling my feeble mind.

You wouldn’t happen to know how to how to stop the post from displaying the date, author and whether it’s categorised or not? I can’t seem to turn it off.

Thanks @cavalierlife – I had a feeling that the posts widget would be the way to go.. just wasn’t sure if it would be able to do exactly what I had in mind as described above.

I’m also quite nervous about doing anything for fear of breaking what little I’ve done already. I’m quite the noob..
