Yes that solution would work great, it’s an excellent idea! Thanks for considering my suggestion ??
Thanks very much for the reply. Since my category archives would be the most relevant result for many searches, I really need to figure out a way to get them indexed. I saw on the Relevanssi’s Facebook page about indexing author pages using custom post types, I guess I could do something similar… but I guess that would require creating a new post for each category and setting up redirects from each post to it’s corresponding archive – and with over 100 categories on 4 blogs that would require a lot of setup and maintenance. Still, it’s a possible solution.
I do have one more question, you mentioned using custom post types – can you please explain why using a custom post type would be useful for this? Perhaps due to my lack of experience with custom post types, I can’t see the advantage of using them in this situation…
Thanks.
Thanks, if you find other fixes for this plugin please share them here ??
Hold your mouse pointer over the Profile link at the top of Facebook, then right-click and Copy – then paste into notepad and you should have your UID at the end of the URL… unless you have a custom facebook URL, in which case you should view your profile page, on the left where it says Friends (number) right-click and copy, paste and you should find your UID in the URL. Hope that helps ??
Until notifications are working, you can try ‘Facebook Comment Control’ plugin that places a list of all your comments on your dash so you can keep track of them :

In reply to: Maintenance Mode Built-In to WordPress?See the following page for details of how to activate the built-in maintenance mode :

It probably doesn’t answer your question about why this isn’t activating automatically during upgrades, but at least you can see how to activate it manually.

In reply to: Constructor theme: Unable to update pagesJust wanted to add that I also have this problem regularly, using a variety of themes… It’s always mod_security that causes it, but the actual cause seems to be related to wordpress using ajax to auto-save post details, triggering one of the mod_security rules.
Since I have access to mod_security on my servers, I just add my I.P. to the whitelist… that way all the mod_security rules are still in full effect for everybody else. This is obviously more secure than just disabling it, but if you have a dynamic I.P. then it requires more work to keep updating the whitelist.

In reply to: Related posts in feeds?I just want to add my vote for ‘Related Posts in Feeds’ and hope this feature will make it into the next release.
Also it would be good to have a few additional options for the feed output, eg. I would like to display long excerpts in the blog and shorter excerpts in the feed.
Regards,
Samantha
