You’ll find the download counts within the postmeta table, under the meta_key: _dedo_file_count.

Each individual log is stored within the posts table, with the post_type of dedo_log. However, he way log files are stored is something that is going to be addressed in the next update, as at present blogs with a high amount of downloads will quickly fill the posts table up, which could affect site performance.

I plan on having the logs stored in a separate table as you said, and on plugin upgrade automatically move the log files to the new location. Until then, removing them manually is going to be quite cumbersome.

Hi raynbo,

Delightful Downloads uses the default file types specified by the WordPress core. In order to add additional file types you need to adjust your theme’s functions.php file.

Thanks for pointing this out. I’ll address the bot issue in the next update.

As for the total counts on deletion, I may add an option to do this in the future, however I’ve got quite a few more features I want to implicate before hand. I’ll definitely add it to the to do list though.

Hi,

The only way to organise your downloads will be using an FTP client. Then, once you have the downloads in the correct locations you can use the file browser in Delightful Downloads to select the location of each download as you add them.

You should be able to see your server log file under your hosting provider’s control panel. The log should give us more information as to why the uploads are failing.

That is very strange. Does your server log show any error messages?

Also, what do you have the following set to in php.ini? max_execution_time, max_input_time, memory_limit & upload_max_filesize

That is the correct behaviour. The style option should bet set to link, which will output a regular html link.

You sent me htaccess file via email. Is that the file that you are offering as a download? If not, what file type is it?

Hi,

Sounds like this could be caused by the local environment, it all depends on the setup. I would be interested to know how you have things setup and whether or not you are using vhosts etc.

If you could let me know I’ll try and replicate the issue on my development server, but at present I’ve had no issues working locally.

Server software (apache, nginx)
Browser having issues

That is correct. Downloads by admin users are not counted, which is the default behaviour. I may add an option in future updates to enable/disable this option.

Can you please provide more details, as Delightful Downloads is tested and working in Opera. What exactly is the issue you are having?

Can you also provide me with the URL to the site having issues and the following details:

• WordPress version
• Delightful Downloads version
• Web server (apache, nginx)
• Opera version
