Looks like I fixed the problem with the footer. I’m using a child theme and when I switch to the main/parent theme and viola… the footer widget appeared.

Looks like same thing with the sidebar adsense.. I’ll try to play around with the codes of the child themes and see if I can fix it my self… if not then I’ll contact you again. ??

Just adding.. if you connected your site to wordpress.com and install Jetpack plugin, then you can use the Visibility feature.

Yes, I added a widget on that footer but it does not appears when I view the site. Right, there’s supposed to be am Archives widget there but nothing appears.

Also, when I place an adsense code widget as the first widget, it does not appear but when there is something coming before the adsense code widget it will appear, this happens on both the left and right sidebar.

Works perfectly… and I can event switch the Blog layout without any problem but I think I will use the Right sidebar – wide for now.

If you can place an option that users can choose the position of the sidebar/s and main content and the size then that will be great!

Also… I can’t seem to find where or how to make the new Footer widget area work.

I made the adjustment and when I change it to “Right sidebar – wide” to both Blog and Post, here’s what is looks like.

But I can tell you that the free version of Mission News is as good as those theme that I paid for. I will be waiting for the pro version and hopefully, we can get to see the pro version in action when its available.

As soon as I saw the update for the theme, I immediately checked the changelog and saw that you added the three new layout.

But I cannot seem to find the option to permanently set it on the customizer, I need to manually select it from editor.

Nonetheless, this is the layout that I’m talking about… I guess.. beggars can’t be choosers… heheheh..

I’m talking about the ability to display or not to display a featured image on individual post. I know about the settings on Customizer but that’s for the whole blog and a blanket setting for individual posts.

For example, I’m in the “Add New Post” screen.. then I will see an option either on the right or bottom of the editor an option that I can select to show or hide featured image. I tried using the Hide Featured Image plugin but since it’s not tested on the latest version of WP and it conflicts the “More from…” section, I rather not use it and see if you there the theme as a similar option.

So I guess this is more of a feature suggestion than anything else.

I’m back!

The problem appears to have been fixed when I reinstalled or uploaded the core files of wordpress.

What I did is I deleted both the wp-admin and wp-includes folder from my webhost, then upload a fresh copy of the folder from the wp installation file. I download a new copy of wp installation file from www.ads-software.com.

Thanks for the help.

I uninstalled Yoast and then went ahead and disable all plugins.. but the problem still persists.

Another thing that I tried is creating a new .htaccess file and also reinstalled or uploaded the core files of wordpress.

Still the problem happens.

The thing that boggles me is that this only happens with this particular theme and when I switch to my old theme, it does not have this problem.

I’ll try to reinstall to a fresh copy of the theme and see if that works.

I’ll update you on the result.

thank you for the reply.

unfortunately, I do not have any thing in the “Optional” section of permalinks settings.

I used Yoast, since the plugin has an option to remove or customize your permalinks. this used to work for me but it just starting displaying blank page when clicking Category link at the bottom of the article.

what’s strange is that the TAGS works, its just the CATEGORY links that has this problem.

i even went on to reinstall wordpress and all my plugins.
