In the previous response, you mentioned that you received the email, but it was received five hours later. Could you please share screenshots of your email template timing settings? Also, please give it another try to see if the emails are still arriving late. Let me know what you find!

Hello @mimosacom,
Greetings for the day!
The cut-off time you set determines when the order is marked as abandoned. However, the actual time the follow-up email is sent depends on the timing settings of that specific email template. Please ensure that the time delay is correctly set in the email template settings to match your expectations.
Let me know if you need further assistance!

Glad to hear that the abandoned cart feature is working now!
The recovery reports are sent out every Monday. Please ensure that you have abandoned or recovered orders in your system, as the report is only generated if there is relevant data.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Cart Abandonment Recovery] Order Status set to Cancelled?Hello @yuros,
Thank you for reaching out.
The Cart Abandonment Recovery plugin does not change the order status to “Cancelled.” This action is actually handled by WooCommerce itself. By default, WooCommerce has a built-in feature that automatically cancels unpaid orders after a certain time limit. The log entry stating “Unpaid order cancelled – time limit reached” is generated by WooCommerce, not our plugin.
To answer your questions:
- Is this expected behavior by the plugin?
No, this behavior is controlled by WooCommerce, not the Cart Abandonment Recovery plugin. - Is the time limit for changing order status the same as the Cart Abandonment cut-off time?
No, the order cancellation time is set by WooCommerce. You can check or adjust it in WooCommerce under WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Inventory (look for the “Hold stock” setting). The Cart Abandonment plugin’s cut-off time only determines when follow-up emails are sent, but it does not modify order statuses. - Can a customer complete a cancelled order after receiving a follow-up email?
Once an order is marked as “Cancelled” by WooCommerce, customers typically cannot complete it. However, they can place a new order if they revisit the checkout page from the recovery email. - How to troubleshoot this?
- Check WooCommerce’s “Hold stock (minutes)” setting. If it’s set to a low value, increasing it might help prevent premature order cancellations.
I hope this clarifies things! Let me know if you need further assistance.
