I saw that only the ‘Comment Approved’ notification will send an email to the comment author, but is there any way or workaround to make the ‘New Comment’ notification to send an email to the comment author?

After many tests, I just found out that clicking the checkbox ‘Send this notification to the Author’ in notifications ‘Product new comment’ and ‘Product – New Comment Awaiting Moderation’ are sending emails to the user that created the product (admin) instead of the user that created the comment(client).
I need to send an email to the user that creates the comment.
Any ideas on how to solve this?

Thank you for the replies and the help, my only problem is that the plugin author does not reply to the threads so I think I need to check the plugin code.

Yes, I did read the documentation when I set up notifications and I unchecked the ‘Email me whenever’ checkboxes.

I tried the pending review notification and it’s not working, but I also tried the comment approved notification and it worked!
Do you have any idea why it’s not working on the new comment notification?

Yes the reviews are saved as unapproved and need to be approved by admin.
I use reviews on collections too, but emails are not being sent from collections also even though I have a notification for ‘Collection new comment’.
