In reply to: [SharePress] [Plugin: Sharepress] Plugin Activation Throws an Error@saracup, excellent questions. Unfortunately I haven’t tested the setup you’re describing. I am, however, getting ready to embark on just such a project. I will let you know what I discover.

In reply to: [Plugin Sharepress] Setup can't connect to facebookThat is such unbelievably awesome news @plasticgoat. I had really run out of ideas – it never occurred to ask me if you were seeing the pop-up. @marieholzer, can you confirm if this was also the cause of your problems? If so, this is great, great, great news. I’ll just add some extra guidelines to the setup screen of Sharepress. What do you guys think of putting a YouTube video there to explain to users how the setup process works?

In reply to: [Plugin Sharepress] Setup can't connect to facebook@plasticgoat and @marieholzer: I’m sorry it has taken me so long to respond to both of you. @platicgoat, I did get the user/pass you sent, but I haven’t logged on yet. I’ll let you know as soon as I’ve taken a look. @marieholzer – did you check your Facebook app settings on Facebook to make sure that the domain name you provided there matches the domain name you use to administrate your installation of WordPress?

In reply to: [Plugin Sharepress] Setup can't connect to facebookI’d be happy to take a closer look at your setup. Just make me an admin on your blog: [email protected].
@m0n085: very, very soon!
@m0n085, actually that’s by design. Sharepress Lite (the plugin you get from the WordPress plugin directory) can only publish to your wall. The pro version (https://sharepress.fatpandadev.com) will allow you to publish to pages. If you want to know when the Pro version is ready, please register at our Web site. Thanks for making contact!

In reply to: [SharePress] Custom Post Types and Sharepress@creativefield The feature you want is in the Pro version of Sharepress. We’re working hard to get it out the door. If you want to know when it’s ready, register at this site: https://sharepress.fatpandadev.com

In reply to: [SharePress] Custom Post Types and Sharepress@creativefield That happens when the domain you use to access your WordPress installation does not match the one you provided when setting up your Facebook application. Please check to see that the two are the same, and then let me know if you still can’t connect. Thanks for trying Sharepress!

In reply to: [SharePress] Custom Post Types and SharepressThat’s an awesome question! I will look into that ASAP. The sending of messages to Facebook is triggered by the save_post action. If save_post is called for all post types, not just the built-in ones, then it would work for custom post types, provided you did a bit of configuration ahead of time.
I’ll look into it, and if it does work, I’ll make that one of the first things I put in the documentation.
