Ok I just had another realisation, I am using the plugin Sucuri Security https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/sucuri-scanner/ in parallel with iThemes Security. I think this is more likely to interfere then login recaptcha on second thoughts.

Thanks for your detailed reply. It turns out the initial failed login is indeed being reported as NULL. And I think I know which plugin could be causing this on my end ‘Login No Captcha reCAPTCHA’ https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/login-recaptcha/. That’s the only plugin that would be acting on the login page other then iThemes.

I haven’t tried deactivating Yoast yet, when I get some time I will look into that. I wont be sharing logs on a public forum. There is a brute force entry for every authentic login too. Number of plugins not sure, about 15-20.

Only iThemes Security and Yoast SEO.

I get this same problem with my own administrator account, and others. It’s real problem! Hopefully someone reaches out with a fix.

Ok, this is strange, but the plugin is NOW working, without any changes being made. I have a feeling an update to some other plugin(s) has fixed the issue. Furthermore, the site has 40 pluins and listing them all here is an ordeal, plus, there are several proprietary plugins on the site which may have caused the problem in the first place.

The latest version of Google Chrome on OSX.

I am 99% certain this issue is a plugin compatibility issue. If I try setting up the Brightcove plugin on a fresh new wordpress installation, everything works as expected.

It would be good to know if the plugin can be updated to use (perhaps) different function calls or something that might be causing the conflict.

Its the widget called “WPPA+ Upload”, it is being run on a page available to logged in members.

Also, I tried just re installing the latest version of the regular plugin and trying your second option to just change the session php file. And the image uploading is still not working.

I have updated to the latest developer version, and now moderation of photos isn’t working.

Although the actual gallery is visible on the home page, when a photo is uploaded for moderation, it doesn’t appear. Also, the moderation page looks like it isn’t rendering properly.

I have tested this across 3 other sites that use the same plugin, and they are working fine with the regular latest version of the plugin.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Ok thanks, support request sent. I should learn to read pages carefully before purchasing 25 plugin licenses. Lesson learned.

Oh darn it, I didn’t realise that after just purchasing 25 licences!

What should I do? Can I hack the posts templates to make the single page appear as an archive page? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hey you will need to modify it manually, or, delete the shortcode and re-do it. I recommend you review the “Cheatsheet” found in the “Shortcode” settings area to see what options are available to you and simply type in the new values. Good luck.
