In reply to: [Blogger Importer Extended] It Works, But it Took a WhileHi Matthew, glad you found it useful!
Unfortunately, delays can happen when the Google API quota is exceeded. The plugin will keep retrying until the quota has been reset before continuing rather than immediately failing, but seen as the quota only refreshes every 24 hours there may be considerable wait time involved. This is out of our control right now as Google doesn’t allow you to exceed the quota, though we’re looking at possible work-arounds!

In reply to: [Blogger Importer Extended] Why all comments not importing?Hi alousizi,
Apologies for the slow reply! We rely on Google’s API to provide us with data from your Blogger blog, which we then import to WordPress. Unfortunately, Google caps the amount of requests we can make so users importing a lot of content often find the installer stalls. The best thing to do is wait a few days and try again, although this isn’t guaranteed to work as the cap may be exceeded again.
Since this is a limitation imposed by Google, we have no way of getting around this ??

In reply to: [Blogger Importer Extended] Images file name and titleHi Jairo,
We escape media item names for SEO purposes (they’re easier to search for) but we can definitely look at introducing an option in the future to disable it before the import.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Blogger Importer Extended] What happens if I run the importer again?Hey. We released a hotfix on the 23rd of October that only pulls in new content. Because we have to record the date of the initial import, if you imported with a previous version of the plugin (a version downloaded before the 23rd of October) then the date will not have been recorded and you will have to re-import your blog again.
There shouldn’t be any issues with importing your blog again, but you will have to uninstall the plugin and install the new version in order to let WordPress “forget” that it has already imported your blog (and record the date so you can re-import in future).
Just to be clear, if you downloaded the plugin after the 23rd of October then you will be able to re-import your blog without any messing about as only newer content will be pulled in ??
Hope that helps!
Hi, we’ve just ran it on our end with a couple of blogs and it looks like it’s importing images correctly. Would you be able to confirm you’re running the latest version (1.3.1)?
