Hi Eva,
Great site! I’m definitely a graphic design newb myself, so I’m not the one to ask about layout. (I like it personally, though.)
One thing I really like (and am qualified to talk about) is your use of a serif font for your body text. Your writing and excerpts are quite long — a good thing — and are definitely benefited by very readable typography. Too often, blogs with longer text are set in Arial or another sans serif face, and they’re harder to read. You, however, understand that while sans serif is more legible, serif is more readable. Big difference.
Keep up the great work chick!

In reply to: Missing apostrophes and quote marksAh…figured it out. The theme uses Cufon as a means to use a specific font. The genius who created the .font.js file didn’t include all the glyphs.

Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: WP site within a site: Bad idea?Thank you for the information! I definitely want to move it to the root level, because on the existing (and quite lame) site, some of the existing URLs have managed to get very good Google page rankings and search results.
For example: https://www.123.com/services
With the WordPress site, I’d like to use that EXACT URL for a similar page, to keep the “equity” she has built up in SEO. (Or, again, am I utterly clueless?)
I’m assuming that the only way to do that is move WP to the root directory. That is, even if it’s automatically redirected to its own unique directory (i.e., https://www.123.com/NEWSITE), the real URL will be https://www.123.com/NEWSITE/services, not https://www.123.com/services correct?
