    Hi there,

I’m using smash for years and always happy with its great compressing support. But now the website reports an error message like this: “The scheduled event, smush_check_for_conflicts, is executed too late. Your site is still working, but this may indicate that the scheduling of posts or automated updates is not working as intended.”

Any ideas what’s causing this and how to handle this issue?

Any hint is very welcome ??

    Best
    Chris

  • Check up on your cron jobs. You can use Crontrol plugin. See if the cron is running properly. I am having other problems with that cron job tho – slows down the website a lot after some time.

    Hi @chrisesch

    I hope you’re well today!

The fact that this particular task is reported as “delayed” like this will not affect Smush. It’s a simple task meant to check whether some specific plugins (that can possibly cause conflicts) are active on site and if so – issue a warning.

It’s not related to posting and other features -it’s only for this check. Since it’s run very often it can sometimes be reported as delayed like this but you can safely ignore it unless there are also other tasks reported over and over again as delayed – in which case please let us know here.

    Kind regards,
    Adam
