I concur. Or, at a minimum, I’d like to disable the automatic linking to an attachment page.
Not knowing PHP, my work-around is to generate the gallery post/page with the plugin, copy the resulting source code into a different post/page, and edit the links. But it’d be nice to do this in fewer steps.
