In reply to: [AGCA - Custom Dashboard & Login Page] Custom CSS locationThanks for that comprehensive response, just what I wanted to know. Really appreciate it. I’ve got about 30 sites so looking to create an automated solution. I haven’t got around to using wp-cli yet so now seems like a good time, and if there’s any problem with that I’ll use SQL.

Sorry for the delay, i investigated and found is the wp-spamshield plugin i’m running. deactivate it and these additional field go away. Is there any way to avoid this or do I just need to accept it? Not a major problem, but would prefer it to skip these unwanted entries.
Thanks
So this was in the audit log:
`Auto Black List offenses counter was incremented from 1 to 2.
Firewall Trigger: WordPress Terms.
Page parameter failed firewall check.
The offending parameter was “post_type” with a value of “wp_show_posts”.
Firewall Block Response: Visitor connection was killed with wp_die() and a message. Is it safe to whitelist post_type?
Thanks

In reply to: [WP Show Posts] Issue with Shield Security pluginyes it does have a whitelist for parameters, not sure what I would put in though. Looking at the audit log this was the trigger:
`Auto Black List offenses counter was incremented from 1 to 2.
Firewall Trigger: WordPress Terms.
Page parameter failed firewall check.
The offending parameter was “post_type” with a value of “wp_show_posts”.
Firewall Block Response: Visitor connection was killed with wp_die() and a message.I think I can change this setting but not sure I want to and would prefer to use the whitelist parameters. Could you tell me what to use?
Hi just reading this and I thought I’d pitch in with my views. I run quite a few small low-income sites. I love the free version of this plugin and have it installed on them all. I’ve never once had a problem with hacks etc since I moved to Shield from Wordfence years ago (which really didn’t work well in my experience).
However I was thinking of upgrading some of these websites. To be honest I’m a bit gutted I didn’t do it before the pricing change. I could easily have justified 12 and possibly up to 20 or so, but the current price per site is too much for me. However I recognise that mine is just one situation and there’s probably many site owners who will happily pay the premium for the excellent additional features.
Still, the free version is excellent in its own right. I trust the devs when they say they won’t ever take away any of the exisiting features (based on their general transparent communication) and it’ll continue to be my default security installation of choice.
Update: Just noticed I can get a single licence to cover all my sites for about £10 per site. That’s really pretty decent, I’ll be considering it.

In reply to: [Simple Lightbox] Doesn’t seem to work for meFixed it, I had to link the images to the media file. However I do have a further question: is it possible to change the default caption font? Can css be used? It doesn’t fit in too well with the fonts used on the website.
Thanks
Cheers Paul
Hi Emre, I’ve sent you an email.
can I email you a picture of the folders being created in the tmpWpfc folder, and maybe you can tell me if it looks strange or normal?
So the cache isn’t cleared very often, but the website isn’t updated often. HCan cache files build up with no changes? Could all-in-one event calendar plugin be the issue, as it also has some sort of caching and lots of the sub folder being created mention calendar
if, say, a page is updated, doesn’t the existing cache get overwritten?
And if there are no website updates, don’t the cached files remain the same? Where are all the sub-folder coming from?
Thanks
Many thanks, I’ll do as you suggest

In reply to: [Asset CleanUp: Page Speed Booster] Issue with nirvana themeTo answer your last questions, I don’t use minify and combine, just removing some header meta data in the setup area and unloading plugins on pages where they are not required.

In reply to: [Asset CleanUp: Page Speed Booster] Issue with nirvana themeHi Gabe, I tried it with everything loading and it had the same problem. I haven’t had time to check for plugin conflicts, I’ll do that this week and see if I can figure it out. Something seems to have changed though because version 1.3.2.7 was working fine. I’m using the Litespeed cache plugin.
