Theme I purchased (one I was trying to upload in the beginning of this message) is uploaded correctly now. For some reason it didn’t come with a readme file to explain how to modify files, so I’m stuck on getting certain features to work and I found other posts on here dealing with that company where people can never get help.
So I’m ultimately trying to find someone knowledgeable enough to help guide me through editing files to make them work.

In reply to: Complex theme – ONYX. Need some experienced help.also, on the plugin (it’s named like the above viva file) – vivathumbzoom.
Inside the file it has the index and viva_zoom php file, but it also has a folder (lib) that has another folder (v-zoom) which has a number of files (index, php files, script files).
Should that have been uploaded somewhere else or is it ok that it’s inside the plugin folder?
EMG – are you fairly good at implementing themes? If so, I could use a hand.
Ok I’m back on. Thank GOD I still had the original WordPress files, so I FTP’d the ‘wp-admin’ file into the correct spot and I’m good again.
Thanks for jumping in so quickly EMG!
If you mean files that are under the folders wp-content, wp-includes and where wp-admin should be, then no.
There are a ton (.htaccess, index.php, etc).
I couldn’t tell you – I def didn’t delete it, didn’t even touch it.
All I did was upload the new theme, all files with it. Saw it showed the error when I previewed it, somehow brain farted and hit activate instead of ‘x’ to close. Went in and deleted the files I had just uploaded for the new theme. Never touched the wp-admin folder.
It was weird – after I hit activate, even when I tried to go back to the admin home to change themes I couldnt kept giving the same error message. So I figure, delete the theme I just installed it would revert enough to let me select another theme. Then bam – blank.
And on a side note – in my server file manager, under “blog”, I only see wp-content and wp-includes.
I could have sworn there was a 3rd one (maybe wp-admin?)
