In reply to: [Video Thumbnails] Jetpack Video Thumbnails = no Facebook? If I disable Video Thumbnails and publish the post, it crosses over to FB. I then re-activate VT, go back to my published post, and have it “search again” for a thumbnail & update.
hope this workflow description assists in finding an answer. Thanks!
This latest Jetpack update (2.0.4; cannot locate a Publicize version) appears to have resolved this issue for me. Thank you if you had any hand in it!
I have had a similar issue with Publicize, but even with my 3rd-party thumbnail generator plugin disabled (mine is “Video Thumbnails” Version 1.8.2 by Sutherland Boswell) the same effect is noticed on Facebook:

you can see the “Publicize”-d posts here (see posts from 12/7/2012 through 12/10):

Thanks!

In reply to: [Minimatica] [Theme: Minimatica] Gallery Sliderone hitch, but it’s working!
(utilizing JetPack from externally-built WordPress v.3.2.1 site if that matters)
for Vimeo, it appeared I had to put the whole URL in there (instead of just the vimeo ID) and temporarily remove the closed-brace to the shortcode. Once the plugin searched & added as the featured image, I updated for the new featured image then closed the shortcode up again! Fortunately I’m just starting out and didn’t have many videos to update.
I already had the full URL for YouTube shortcodes and the plugin recognized the URL without my opening the braces.Forum: Themes and Templates

In reply to: [Simple Facebook Connect] Simple Facebook Connectseems simple enough but of course I can’t find where to fix it:
My organization had a Facebook (“FB”) “Fan” page before I created a new “app” in order to use this Plugin/Widget to connect with FB.
I turned off any Caching settings for WordPress
I manually defined the organization’s Fan ID (all text, not a numeric identifier) inMain Settings > Facebook Fan Page
text box then clickedSave Changes
at the bottom of the plugin’s settings page.I dragged the FB Fan Box (SFC) Widget to be shown in the sidebar, and it is still showing the App’s page with no friends instead of my Fan Page with its multiple friends. (note the sidebar/fan box was not active before I edited the Fan Page in settings… No need to refresh/reload because the box wasn’t showing in the first place)
I also attempted defining the Fan Page as “https://facebook.com/$fanPageID” instead of just “$fanPageID” with the same results.
Is there a way to manually define the $whatever.php text so I see my Fan page instead of my App page? Am I missing something? Thanks in advance!
