In reply to: [Minamaze] Modify Minamaze Parent Intro DefaultsI tried the method suggested here. Although the correct title did appear on my blog posts page and all other pages of the site worked OK, I was not able to login to the administrative area of the site. I received error messages saying the header had already been loaded from my customized functions.php and therefore something from pluggable.php could not load.
I went back to simply making a change in the file of the parent theme, although this does have the disadvantage of having to be edited every time the theme is updated.
So I would say this issue is NOT resolved.

In reply to: [File Away] error message when loading configuration formThank you. Manually copying the file removed the error.

In reply to: [File Away] error message when loading configuration formThis same error message also appears on pages in the website that have functions to list the uploaded/downloadable files from the website. When I deactivated the plugin, the error message went away.
I would like to try out the plugin, but I can’t as long as I get that error.
I have done some additional testing on my own and “fixed” the problem. Just in case anyone else experiences this here are my results.
I am using a purchased theme called JobRoller. This theme comes with some pages that I am not using, so I made several pages “private”. The site worked fine while I was still logged in as the admin, but when I logged out I received the error message described above.
By trial and error, I went into the MySQL database and turned all of the “private” pages back into “publish”. When I went back to the site, everything worked as it should. I then made one of the pages private again, and the site still worked when I logged out. I did not try to discover which of the other pages caused the error when made private, as they are not essential to my site and don’t show up in any menus.
Here is a link to the site
https://webucateus.com/acs_interns/I don’t have an .htaccess file as this site is hosted on a Windows shared server.
Thanks.
Is this a shortcode that should work with Secure File Browser? I am not seeing anything different on the page that I tried it out on.
Or, is this something that should work in some other part of s2member?
Thanks.

In reply to: Service is not available returned on login attemptThanks for the response. I solved my own problem, first by disabling various plugins as suggested.
The problem plugin turned out to be s2Member framework. I tried various approaches to fix it, and finally discovered that s2Member has a feature that will disable login by a user who uses too many different IP addresses within a defined time period. For some reason, one of the test login IDs I use had exceeded the limit. I discovered (kind of accidentally) that there is way to reset access on the user profile page. Voila that fixed it. Although a nuisance in my testing phase, this is useful to know going forward as I manage this website.

In reply to: [User Role Editor] Unable to login as any role other than admin or subscriberForgive this post. I tried disabling some other plugins, and think that this one is NOT the problem.

In reply to: [s2member Secure File Uploader] uploaded file link doesnt workI would really like for this plugin to work. However, it does not upload the file to the “secure” director (app_data) in the s2member folder and the link that is generated does not point to the location where it is uploaded. The link looks for the file in the root directory of the WordPress installation.
How can I get the files to upload to the correct directory and then get the link to point to the correct location? Without these changes, the plugin is useless.

In reply to: New user registration not in default roleNo plugins. I am using the JobRoller theme by AppThemes. It overrides the standard WordPress registration form, so I am wondering if there may be something in that code that is setting the User registration to contributor, but I do not know where to look or what to look for.
I have asked AppThemes for some help on this issue, but have not received a useful response so far.
