Here’s an issue I’ve been having with seo doctor for firefox…
My blog’s header.phpo file has H1 tags for the name of the blog which, invariably describes the entire theme of the blog.

However, each individual post, as in single.php file, came with H2 tags (kubrik theme), and I had to change these (being title of each individual post, totally unrelated to the name in Header.php) to H1 tags.

Now, my confusion, seo wise is, what’s the correct format, should the H1 tags which merely describe the main page, be used to canvas all posts, or should such a blog have 2H1 tags, one for the header referencing the main blog post, and other H1 tags for each individual single post?

By the way, my blog only shows one post per page, instead of the continuous nature of posts all on one page.

Would really appreciate feedback on this..

played around with the wrap attribute, added a background image, and changed the border width to make it count.

I kind of feel silly now, coz it was right there in plain site…
I’ll blame it on the late night working on this blog nonestop!

Thank you so much for your feedback… helped! Yey!

Joshuwar and cais, thank you so much, sorry for the delayed response.. blame it on work and travel.

The link you provided cais is awesome.. I’m not a coder or programmer, and everything I do is mostly thru trial and error, (it’s worked great so far).

I will check both your links guys and see how it pans out.

If no luck, can I rely upon you to assist with the actual code?

    Thank you once again.

    Ok…good going thus far…

This is what I’ve managed to do with my background image in the footer area:
    https://www.samsung1080plcdhdtv.com

As you can tell, the background image overlaps the footer and part of the container.

Now, how do I reverse the two?

Ideally, the background image bar (which is 56px high) should be about 30px or so above the footer and behind the footer – as opposed to be in perfect alignment.

    Any takes, please?

how about just using the seo-all-in-one plugin?
Surely that should accomplish the same effect you’re trying to reach yes?

paste this code at the bottom of your style.css file…

    #header h1 { display:none }

The I suppose the only alternative is to have the background image static?
That way, even if one is scrolling up and down the content, the background header and footer remain in full view of one’s screen?

With so much sophistication in css, hasn’t anyone come up with a plan yet?
    lol

    Garry,

Thanks for the response, but this is css we’re talking about here…I have tried assigning a height, but the height in this case, has no definition, save for the screen resolution of one’s monitor no?

I’ve even tried using the 100% width and height, but the image stays at it’s original height.

    Any other ideas here?

    tx.

I’m not sure I understand you here…I’m having the same issue… and now one of my sites, which was indexed on Google’s page 1, is on page 8, all because I had an issue with my blog..deleted it and recreated it after about a week!

Care to please take me through the steps as I am really trying to recreate the sitemap using the sitemap generator.

I have a static site with a blog on it…www.mydomain.com/blog
The sitemap generator is only indexing the blog, and bypassing the static site…and it’s driving me nuts!

Looks like blog webmasters want us all to be coders huh?

Your assistance would be highly appreciated.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Happy days are here again……

I’m soooooo happy…Yahoo actually cached the whole page PLUS all the content…I’ve just copied it all and pasted it into the blog!

    YIPPIEE!

Thanks for all your input…this really is a major blow to my moral.
I am hosting multiple domains on one account and that’s where the initial issue started.

I had to delete a blog off another domain but somehow that domain was sharing a DB with my main site…and I did not save the data.

I was hoping Google would have cached the page, but nope…

So here I am, with just the theme, all the plugins to make Mother Teresa proud…but no content.

I’ll try the other search engines to see if they’ve cached the main page content.

Thank you all for the input.
