Was easier to delete the plugin and reinstall it. If it happens again, probably will just use another plugin

I see the setting “Duplicate Record Preference, and it is set to “Create a new record with the submission” The problem is with that setting and “Duplicate Record Check Field” set to email, last name or WP User ID once you enter one submission the next one still gets the error “You already have an account”

You can see the error and try a submission at https://badlawyer.cleancourts.org/sign-up/

I then need to clear the browser history to use it again. Is that normal?

I’m sorry It’s unclear as to what to change the setting to that I don’t understand.
I am looking at the settings in the Participant’s Database Settings page.
    Likewise, I have these options:

Duplicate Record Check Field: Email (email)
Duplicate Record Preference: Create a new record with the submission

Do I change it from “Email” to what?
When you respond with “Check the “Duplicate Record Check Field” but no specific
    What to change it to.

Sorry still confused with the response.

The problem was “restrictions” were turned on for one of the API’s once turned off it worked fine. This was not mentioned in the set-up instructions if the API needed to be restricted to a website, IP address etc.

The Maps stopped because the email we were using was turned off so we needed to set up all over again with a new email for Google Cloud.

    Thank you

May I suggest thinking in terms of the user who is not an expert as you may be.
Streamline the dashboard results, such as you are already doing with the colored numbers of issues. But allow the user to click on the number for more details. Details are important to users who want or need them. Just not the on first page.

Today I visit my dashboard and what appears first, not my dashboard but an ad for anti-spam. Users are supposed to figure out themselves to click on their paid option?

It should be more obvious or to arrive at what we paid for to arrive at that page first.

Plus with all the text links the option to have “text explanation” of links when you hover over them is not used.

To the far left are icons by each website “Looks like WordPress and Clean talk” icons but what do they mean? They are all WordPress sites and all use Cleantalk, so they add confusion.

The word “HOME” should always be “Dashboard” as that is where it goes.

The top inch of the page has room for offers, sales with visual banner,

License info, time period would work better integrated next to the words “Site Security” May I suggest another title than “Site Security” “Protected Pages”

Under Malware clicking on Details does not open a page or show data

“Log” at the top would be better as “Logs” as it reveals several not one

Back End PHP logs would be good to have a short “How to resolve” info

The above mention of “How to resolve” should be on most of the warnings to help those
who don’t know how, to move forward to fix the issues. Knowing of them is good but helping correct them means even more to a user.

Tools>Templates needs a link to what they are and how to use them with example.
or this info on the same page

“Site Security, 5 sites, $5/Month” at the bottom is not clear, for my account I am already paying for site Security. It would help if it had clear info like “Only $5 more a month to add 2 more sites”. Or what this offer was besides the regular price.

You do provide a great service with options, just trying to add suggestions as a new user. Thank you

Thank you for the help and great plugin

    Denis,

I never signed up for constant email notices of possible threats, many of which are not threats which we have verified. A once a week or monthly log would be enough for most users. The first thing you see in these messages are offers to upgrade NOT what you can do or other helpful advice (needed changes). This leads users to see this as a “scare tactic”. You can call it what you want “marketing” or what ever however the end result as a paid user it causes us to question the motives of the people who sell the plugin. I’ve had other security plugins and never this level of questionable promotion. Ask yourself, what do you want your user to think? It’s not about what the seller (plugin maker) claims but what the user experiences. You are in the business of gaining trust at the same time providing a service of security I assume. I assume your response will be “you can change the settings”. Just my 2 cents as a new user who wishes you luck and really wants your plugin to work for everyone.

The problems continue and from the above the creators don’t understand the problems, while we know you don’t actually touch the SSL cert itself the problem is your plugin changes cause problems for it to work or be implemented. Each day when I open my dashboard I have USELESS and only annoying red warnings (which only are used to create fear to get users to upgrade and pay). The initial payment got me what I needed, (setting up SSL) So whose idea is it now that what was set up correctly AND PAID TO DO SO, now all of a sudden no longer is acceptable? Understand no more updates “Don’t want them or need them” But if you persist to use the unwelcome tactics of fear removing everything you sell is the solution

Creates it’s own problems when left alone

So what we are basically ending up with is what we paid for is only temporary? Once the subscription ends we lose what the plugin set up? This makes no sense. I understand you want to make money but I think most users buy the plugin to set up SIMPLE SSL and once it’s set up it’s a done deal. Then to hold users against their will by demanding (messages and red icons) warning to upgrade is a bit dishonest in my opinion. Should things change with SSL that is understandable but for the plugin to stop working is dishonest.

What concerns me is the constant nagging to upgrade or add options. While most plugins appear to offer an all in one security plugin this one only appears less expensive because it breaks down all the options of items separately. I took a chance and upgraded to a year, for the most part I was happy. However the more you push with the scare tactics (what might happen) the less trust I have and think about moving on. Just my suggestion from using the service. It is in fact a bit over complicated (the dashboard) plus what you get and don’t get. Please don’t get me wrong, I want what you are trying to do. It’s just the way it’s being sold is not working. Wishing you luck in your plugin success, just a friendly suggestion

    Rogier, thanks for your reply.

I think the main problem is the need to separate Security/SSL options as users often have already installed security programs. When we first installed Really Simple SSL (RSS) it was in fact “really simple” however with each new addition and the PRO option it’s now over complicated and does things that we don’t feel are really SSL related so they may cause issues with already installed programs. We say this because after upgrading to PRO and then making changes as per the plug in the problems started.

The new OTHER Plugins or Addons don’t help, like Stats, Compliance etc. They just add to the confusion. So the name “Really Simple SSL” has now become really complicated.

IS there a way to revert all changes back to normal using the free version and or the Pro version. Does this happen when you deactivate both plugins?
