The issue seems to be solved, thank you. (I had enabled only PayPal)

By the way a banner has appeared “Enable the new PayPal gateway for Easy Digital Downloads” once I enabled PayPal standard.
Is it something I should do?

thanks for information. Would be good, but the plugin is not supported and also the developers domain is for sale.

I tink it will be not so easy to find a solution. On the other hand – common sense tells me, there should be something.
