my title tag rewrite module is shown as active in the dashboard, but its simply not showing up in the front end anymore … what would cause one element of the plugin to stop working in 4.4

Yeah i turned all the plugins off and then turned them back on. Again, the plugin is still functioning in every way except for the title tag rewrites.

At this point the damage is done, most pages have now been indexed in google with less than ideal titles but I could really use some help on this one.

I hate to change to a different plugin and have to go back and manually edit every page title and description.

a plain text editor should be a plain text editor and thats it. for me at least.

of course. when i switch between, the code i insert in the text side disappears when i use a class.

it will only stay if i spell out a style, but it trying to use a class doesn’t work at all. I really don’t like these text editors that have WYSIWYG style stuff built into it.

editing layout 4 in core-posts under framework did the trick

i edited the layout 4 file in the theme files and it changed on the category page, but on the front page, the taxonomy and read more links are still there which has left me confused. is there another layout 4 file i need to remove this info from?

I’m guessing there’s no fix without editing the core file. Editing the css would most likely just result in a display: none, in which case, search engine spiders would still be crawling the links.

props to godaddy, customer guy was nice and it appears they fixed the issue already. Surpassed my expectations. Hopefully it stays good now.

the website is hosted on godaddy, and they seem to be recieving lots of calls about this today. they said it IS a server issue and that their servers ran a big update this morning and theyre trying to zero in on the problem

So i just switched computers and now am using firefox. I’ve never ever had this problem EVER in over 10 years and now when i update in firefox it says: Connection Reset.

It’s been quite a while since i’ve been this annoyed. The most annoying thing is that i have no idea what is causing this.

on the home page i have a featured category setup and there isn’t much need for dates and comments and authors and such for the widget on this particular domain.

Also, i feel that these links interfere with my [on page SEO]. i want to build as many links as possible from the home page to content and feel that these links take away from the strength of the content links.

okay, its obvious to me now that the post images default to a certain size / ratio and this is why im getting the border. How can i edit it so that the vertical size adjusts, but the horizontal stays a static size?

so, this is kinda weird. under mobile layout i had “hide page headers” turned off. I switched it on and then back off and then they started appearing in mobile… weird…
