Hi @247web
Are you using ESET as your anti-virus software?
If so, they have confirmed that this is a false positive and is a bug on their end:
You will have to update your ESET software (especially the detection engine) for this false alarm to stop.
Thanks,
Leland

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Plugin is using script injecting@thomthom44 this is used so AddThis can sync up with your website. We offer a variety of tools and analytics so these scripts are needed to make those tools work properly.
Hi @lipskas,
The PHP version is only displayed when you are a logged in admin user. This is so we have data about what PHP versions our users use so we can create the best experience possible.

Support Engineer | AddThisHi @bruffridge,
I’m not sure why you are experiencing this issue but a workaround is to use our Website Tools by AddThis plugin instead:
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/addthis-all/I recommend that you deactivate our Follow Buttons plugin and install our Website Tools one. There are many advantages in using this plugin like accessing our entire suite of tools with additional customization and features. You’ll also get access to our analytics dashboard which allows you to gain further insight on your content and sharing data.
Overall, it can perform everything that the Follow button tool can do but much much more.
If you have any further questions, feel free to email us at [email protected] and we’d love to assist you!
Thanks,
Leland
Support Engineer | AddThisHi @danthes,
We have recently received some feedback regarding opening the share dialog in a small window vs a new tab. Our team will discuss this issue today regarding next steps.
If you email us at [email protected], I can keep you in the loop!

Support Engineer | AddThisHi @littlebirdweb,
It looks like you’ve hardcoded that AddThis script somewhere in your theme’s files, perhaps function.php or footer.php?
The reason why I suspect that is because the script is placed right below your theme’s JS files which is usually being called through one of the theme templates.
I’d suggest that you search your theme files and widget area to look for that script because it is not generated by the plugin.
Thanks,
Leland

To instruct Facebook and many other services what to show in a share or preview on the Newsfeed, you need to specify Open Graph meta tags. I would suggest adding the Open Graph tags (og:image, og:description, og:title, and og:url) to each of your pages.
Here’s some more information on Open Graph tags:
https://support.addthis.com/customer/portal/articles/381222-optimize-facebook-sharingIf you’ve already added Open Graph tags, I’d suggest looking at the Facebook Debugger to see if Facebook is reporting any errors:

Leland
