In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Rss error after install plug inHi there,
Can you share the link to your RSS XML file so we can take a further look?
Thanks,
LelandThat’s good to hear, can you keep us updated if everything goes smoothly from here on out?
Thanks,
LelandIt appears that there is a missing ” at the end of the ‘height’ parameter:
<amp-addthis width=”320″ height=”92 data-pub-id=”ra-5bbc7d8a0c53d28f” data-widget-id=”2rb1″ data-widget-type=”inline”></amp-addthis>This is the correct version:
<amp-addthis width=”320″ height=”92″ data-pub-id=”ra-5bbc7d8a0c53d28f” data-widget-id=”2rb1″ data-widget-type=”inline”></amp-addthis>This is a mishap on our end, it has been fixed in staging and ready to be pushed to production soon.
Let us know if that works!
Thanks,

Here is a video I created showing how you can install AddThis using the AMP WordPress plugin:
– https://www.screencast.com/t/jr7omX3t1With that said, we are planning on releasing an update to our WordPress plugin soon that will be AMP compatible.
Let me know if the above video instructions work!

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Lost my shares in Greek languageHi there!
Thanks for contacting AddThis Support ??
The sad news is that as soon as you change your URL, your share counts reset.
The reason for this is because of the way social networks track these counts– they’re tracking them against a specific URL and currently, there’s no way for these social services API’s to have you tell them “this old URL is now this new URL and you should add the share counts to this new one instead.”
Apologies for the inconvenience but this is how these social networks handle share counts and there’s not much we can do unless you revert back to the original URL.

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] instagramHi there!
Thanks for contacting AddThis Support ??
Unfortunately, we do not support Instagram share and the reason is because of their terms of service on their API. Instagram users are only allowed to post images owned by the account owner which means that random visitors on someone’s site are not allowed to share that site’s images without written permission from the image rights owner.
As soon as Instagram decides to change this policy and provides sharing endpoints, then we will add them to our services.

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] No tools in dashboardHi Becky!
Thanks for contacting AddThis Support ??
There should be a screen that prompts you to login with your AddThis account if you have one like this:

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] YummlyHi there!
Thanks for contacting AddThis Support ??
After looking into this, it appears that they do have a share count endpoint we could use but no official documentation for that API.
I’m going to submit a ticket to our engineering team to see if we can implement Yummly share count in a future release.
Thank you so much for your feedback!

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Follow buttons not showingHi there!
Thanks for contacting AddThis Support ??
It appears that you’ve activated the inline Follow button, which comes with its own HTML snippet that you’ll have to add to your theme’s template for it to render.
Here is the code you’ll have to add to one of your theme’s template in order for the Follow buttons to show:
<div class=”addthis_inline_follow_toolbox”></div>Here is the WP shortcode you could use in case you’d want to paste this in your content editor:
[addthis tool=”addthis_inline_follow_toolbox”]If you wish to have the follow buttons automatically appear on top of your site without having to add any additional code, you can opt to activate the “Header” version instead:
I hope that helps and please let us know if you need further clarifications.
Thanks,
LelandHi Diego!

No, AddThis does not require your site to run jQuery in order to work properly.

LelandHi @asterbird!
Thanks for contacting AddThis Support ??
As of now with our plugin, there is currently not a way for the script to not load on the homepage.
With that said, if you were to install AddThis directly without the use of a plugin, this is possible.
Here is a general guide on how to install AddThis on your site:
Essentially, upon creating an account, you will want to add the AddThis script into one of your site’s template such as single.php or page.php so that it only loads on pages that are using those templates.
Let me know if you have any further questions!

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] change icon colorHi there!
Thanks for contacting AddThis Support ??
You can customize the background and font color of the logo for the share button by logging in with your AddThis account through the WordPress plugin and once connected, you can customize the color of that tool right in the AddThis.com dashboard and it will dynamically update on your site.
Let me know if you have any further questions!
Thanks,

Hi Brad!
Thanks for contacting AddThis Support ??
If you login with your AddThis account through the WordPress plugin, you can specify what pages you want the share buttons to show/hide base on its URL structure which you can configure in the AddThis.com dashboard.
