Hi Kamila,
Yes I do see them now!
To get this to work, you will just have to insert the below code in the correct place so there’s no other coding that needs to be done but it does require some confidence in editing your theme’s template.
Wherever you place the below Inline code in your HTML, it will show in that position:
<div class=”at-above-post”></div>It is my understanding that this article is of the WP ‘post’ type:
https://polyglotsdiary.com/learn-language-like-child/#.WpVvDBPwaAyI actually downloaded your theme so I’m pretty sure this is where you will have to go: ‘Appearance’ –> ‘Editor’ –> ‘content-single.php’:
I believe you will have to insert that inline code above “<footer class=”entry-footer”>”
It may take trial and error to get this right but DO make sure that before you change any of the code, make a backup copy of that file by just copy/pasting the original code in ‘content-single.php’ into a word editor and saving it. This way, if anything goes wrong (e.g. accidentally deleting a character), you have a backup to restore.
Let me know if that works!
Thanks,
LelandHi there,
Can you uncheck your ‘Excerpt Filters’ in the Advanced Settings:

Thanks,
LelandHi Kamila!
It looks like the share buttons you’re currently using below your content is from AddToAny and not AddThis (your sidebar share buttons are from AddThis though).
I suggest you contact AddToAny’s support to get instructions on how you can adjust the positioning of your inline share buttons.
Thanks,
LelandHi there,
That is indeed the correct code if you wish to generate multiple share buttons on the same page, each set with a different shared URL.
Additionally, there’s also other parameters if you wish to control the title (date-title=””) and description (data-description=””) of the shared URL.
Let us know if you have any further questions!
Thanks,
LelandHi @pampeya!
When you say it is not displaying correctly, can you further explain the issue?
Is the Title/Description/Image not showing the content that you’re expecting?
If so, can you let me know what you’re expecting when sharing so I can further investigate?
Any screenshots will help ??
Thanks,

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] FB share not workingCan you check again now to see if it is sharing the correct description?
What I did was insert your URL into Facebook’s debugger:
https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/Sometimes Facebook would have a cached version of your content so by ‘fetching new scrape information’ in their debugger, it force clears the cache and they then rescrape your site for the updated content in your meta tags.
Let me know if this changed anything on your end!
Thanks,
LelandHere are the instructions (it might seem long but it shouldn’t take more than 10-15 mins):
1.) Sign up for an AddThis account if you haven’t already
2.) Once you sign up, the ‘Get the code tab’ will show you a script you will have to insert into your website. This script allows us to connect to your website so you get all the benefits and features of using our tools:
3.) Insert that script into your footer.php theme template:
– Scroll down until you see </body>
– Paste the script right above </body>:
– Save the changes to that fileVideo I created for you showing step by step:
– https://www.screencast.com/t/VTCk4dsPYwpx4.) Log into your AddThis dashboard and activate the inline follow button and select the social services you want your users to follow:
Another video showing you step by step
– https://www.screencast.com/t/9OPkP98ljC5.) Go back to the ‘Get the code tab’ and copy the code under ‘Inline Follow Buttons’
6.) Paste that inline code in your theme’s template and position it within your HTML to wherever you wish to see the buttons and apply any necessary CSS
Let me know if you run into any issues!
Thanks,
LelandNo problem!
After looking at your website, it looks like the best way to get this handled is to use our inline follow buttons.
With our inline follow, it will generate you a code based on the services you want to add and from there, you can place that code within your template and position it wherever you wish in that template. You can also apply custom CSS to the code so that it can behave however you wish.
Let me know if this is something you’re interested in and I can help you get it set up!

LelandHi there,
Apologies for the delayed response.
I believe I have some recommendations base on what you’re saying but before I assume anything, I just want to take a look at your website.
Can you share with me the URL of your website so I can take a further look?

In reply to: [WordPress Follow Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Support for AMPHi @ronineternales,
As of now, our plugin is not compatible within an AMP environment because it requires that our script is loaded a certain way.
With that said, the good news is that our team is currently working hard on creating share buttons for AMP and in the meantime, you can use our sharing endpoints which doesn’t require any JavaScript to load:
I hope that helps!
Thanks,
