Thanks for the answer. I can confirm the issue with the the 8×8.vc account, so I ended up trying to simply embed a 8×8 Jitsi as a Service on my site. Haven’t tested it yet, so don’t know if I can recommend.

Something is wrong with my templates , I think.

First of all, I see 1963 templates… many of them duplicates.

I see the template for unread messages, but there is no ‘situation’ attached to it. I don’t see any better messages situations, when I try to edit the template?

I did a test message, with notifications set to 5 min.

I checked in WP Crontrol and I see the cron job bp_better_messages_send_notifications’ which ran OK , but I still get no email.

I don’t see it in Sendgrid logs either. Any ideas?

Yesterday, I added 10 minutes to the daily digest time, and then the mails went out this morning. It was as if ‘turn it off and turn it on again’ worked.

83 mails were sent, only 2 left in ‘queued items’ db-table for some reason.

The frequency is very different from Feb to March/April.

I contacted support at WP Engine, and they said that cron jobs on the server was OK:

I still have around 20 emails pending that should have gone out today.

Hi , I am also a fan of your plugin and would like to help.

Your description above made me check my db:

1. From February ’23 onwards, the queued items are not cleared from the table ‘wp_bpges_queued_items’. Going back, there is nothing from 2022, even though I know for sure that digests have been sent. Then I see a few items from September ’21 as well, so maybe an update in between has changed something.
2. Checking the page ‘sum=1’ for my page now, shows around 20 mails, but the ‘wp_bpges_queued_items’ has more than 86 items, which seems correct – fits the members of the group.

I have added the custom code that makes a different private directory path – but then the user’s files are not very private … they can be accesed by the file url.

I see the point with ‘one level up’, but my root directory is ‘/nas/content/live/dhta’ according to my host support.. I use WP Engine. Is the problem that I am on shared hosting?

When I create the folder ‘buddypress-private’ in my root folder, I get the same error.

Even so, I am able to upload media, and I see it in my ‘media – personal’ folder.
