    Hi

I removed the whole options from “Backend Menu” except: “Site Health”. However, I’m seeing this two:

“Export Personal Data” and “Erase Personal Data”.

Right now I’m trying to hide: “Export Personal Data”. Somewhere I found that the name of this capability is: “export_others_personal_data”. So, I added as a new capability and then I removed from the role, where I want to remove it.

However, the menu is still appearing. How can I hide it?

    Thanks

    Best regards
    Josef

    Hi @jmeile,

Your findings are correct. WordPress core introduced two additional capabilities to manage access to “Export Personal Data” and “Erase Personal Data” with export_others_personal_data and erase_others_personal_data caps respectively. The only thing that probably was not mentioned to you is that those capabilities are aliases for the manage_options capability. So basically if a user has the manage_options capability, he/she can see and manage those menu items.

I’ve made some modifications to AAM core to cover your scenario. Give a try to this release candidate https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/advanced-access-manager.zip. It is the upcoming AAM v5.9.6.4 release.

    Keep me updated if anything.
    Vasyl
