Thanks! Works perfectly

Thank you for your reply. I did attempt to change the css, but after playing around with it, I realise the reason you made it that way is when there are many comments it tends to get messy, especially on mobile view. So I set up the single fields instead, so the full comment will be displayed on a separate page. Fantastic plugin, really well thought through!

I have the same problem, any way to fix it?

Hello, after I did this:

Bitnami stacks recollect all the htaccess information in a single file, /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/conf/htaccess.conf in your case and the AllowOverride option is set to None. Therefore, please add what you modified at /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/.htaccess to that file and then, restart Apache.

It started working actually, so problem solved. Thanks for your help! Much appreciated! Will give the plugin a go, and consider the pro version if it works out. Thanks again and have a nice day

I checked your suggestion, I had already done that from reading a similar suggestion on bitnami forum. This is the output from /opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/httpd.conf

#
# This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file. It contains the
# configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
# See <URL:https://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/> for detailed information.
# In particular, see
# <URL:https://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/mod/directives.html>
# for a discussion of each configuration directive.
#
# Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
# what they do. They’re here only as hints or reminders. If you are unsure
# consult the online docs. You have been warned.
#
# Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
# of the server’s control files begin with “/” (or “drive:/” for Win32), the
# server will use that explicit path. If the filenames do *not* begin
# with “/”, the value of ServerRoot is prepended — so “logs/access_log”
# with ServerRoot set to “/usr/local/apache2” will be interpreted by the
# server as “/usr/local/apache2/logs/access_log”, whereas “/logs/access_log”
# will be interpreted as ‘/logs/access_log’.

#
# ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server’s
# configuration, error, and log files are kept.
#
# Do not add a slash at the end of the directory path. If you point
# ServerRoot at a non-local disk, be sure to specify a local disk on the
# Mutex directive, if file-based mutexes are used. If you wish to share the
# same ServerRoot for multiple httpd daemons, you will need to change at
# least PidFile.
#
ServerRoot “/opt/bitnami/apache2”

#
# Mutex: Allows you to set the mutex mechanism and mutex file directory
# for individual mutexes, or change the global defaults
#
# Uncomment and change the directory if mutexes are file-based and the default
# mutex file directory is not on a local disk or is not appropriate for some
# other reason.
#
# Mutex default:logs

#
# Listen: Allows you to bind Apache to specific IP addresses and/or
# ports, instead of the default. See also the <VirtualHost>
# directive.
#
# Change this to Listen on specific IP addresses as shown below to
# prevent Apache from glomming onto all bound IP addresses.
#
#Listen 12.34.56.78:80
Listen 80

(@adrianbakar)

I think the issue is related to this:

Bitnami stacks recollect all the htaccess information in a single file, /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/conf/htaccess.conf in your case and the AllowOverride option is set to None. Therefore, please add what you modified at /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/.htaccess to that file and then, restart Apache.

I have tried this but it didnt work, maybe I did it wrong. This is the output from /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/conf/htaccess.conf

Hello, I dont have a hosting provider, the site is hosted on my own AWS EC2 server. So I have full control over the setup. I have tried several suggestions that I found on the bitnami forums, but none are working. So if there is any server setup suggestions you could offer to solve this issue, I would be most grateful. Thanks.

Hello,

Clicking the re-check expiry just results in the same error.

This is a copy of the current /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/.htaccess

# BEGIN WordPress

Browser Caching is not working properly:

– Your server may not have the “expires” module enabled (mod_expires for Apache, ngx_http_headers_module for NGINX)
– Another plugin may be interfering with the configuration
If re-checking and restarting does not resolve, please check with your host or open a support ticket with us.

4 of your cache types don’t meet the recommended expiry period of 8+ days. Configure browser caching here.

Automatic browser caching is active.

Hello,

I did as you suggested, after clicking recheck it says:

GZip compression is currently active. Good job!

But the browser caching is still showing the same error

Thanks

Hello, thanks for your reply. I opened /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/.htaccess and it seems the same entries were already created when I selected the auto enable mode:
