In reply to: New website@jakesyl, you can’t get a theme made up in 70 dollars.. those magazine themes costs over $500 to $800+ with the best of the looks and the features… and if you pay like $70 a theme, you can have 10 of those in that price… more options to choose from, and when you feel like having a change, you pick another one…. rather buying one and sticking with it for the rest of your life, because it costed you a fortune in the first place.

In reply to: New WordPress eBay Affiliate StoreYes, the page loading is a bit too slow, in fact your apple blog did not even opened… i went through your comics blog and overall, it looks good. You can improve on the header, perhaps if you get a custom logo, it will look better. You are having too many ebay listings, so the page load will suffer due to that… try putting fewer number of products on a page, that might help.
Just keep adding more content, try to write bigger and your rankings will improve. WordPress is excellent for any kind of site, but for getting more traffic, and in your case, perhaps sales too, you need to keep writing quality articles,

In reply to: I love my site, but does anyone else…?Overall, your theme is pretty simple. As your blog is mainly targeted to images, perhaps having a more galary focused theme will help. I agree with roostertail, galery theme is the best option for you.
Also, i would suggest you to make an updated homepage for your blog, at this moment your homepage is static. Try to get a logo for your blog as well, and putting some social media like facebook/twitter on your blog will also help. Try stumbleupon as well, it works good with images.
keep it udpated,

In reply to: How To Install WordPress in URDU [WordPress Tutorials in URDU]@xitclub, your site is a Forum, we don’t review that… in this place, only self hosted wordpress blogs are posted for review… let us know if you have a wordpress blog, and we can review that.
about your tutorial, i know urdu and the tutorial was good. Anyone knowing urdu/hindi can use this tutorial for getting a wordpress blog installed via the manual install way.

In reply to: New websiteNice directory, i went through some of your listings, the themes and plugins you have featured on your directory are all good. Still, here are a few things you can work on,
1) Use a friendly link structure, you are using the default link structure… would suggest you to use something like this – /%postname%/
2) Use social media to promote your listings, get some facebook/twitter etc. voting buttons…
keep it updated,

In reply to: How to bring traffic to my site?@simsonic, your blog seems established now, from your last post on this thread, it seems that the hard work you have been putting on your blog has finally started to work.
About your posting frequency, one post a week is way too low, for getting more traffic and making a bigger blog, you need to post daily. Also, would suggest you to accept guest posts, make a guest post page on your blog.. that way, when you won’t be able to write much, you can accept some guest posts to keep the posting regular.
Apart from that, here are a few other suggestions:
1) Get a logo, a brandable logo helps to build an audience base for your blog, that way you will build regular readers,
2) Let users comment without logging in, if you are worried about spam, use akismet and bad-behavior plugins,
3) Use feedburner for feeds.
4) Get some social voting buttons on the blog posts, that way you will gain more facebook shares and tweets etc.
overall you did good progress, keep it up,

In reply to: Take a look at my siteYour blog opened with a small message about subscribing or something… which plugin you are using for that?
Overall, it is a simple theme, it loads quick as well. The design has a professional feel about it. Here are a few suggestions anyway:
1) Get a logo, it will make the blog look more brandable.
2) Use social media, get a facebook fan page and a twitter account. Get some social voting buttons on your blog posts.
Keep it updated,

In reply to: Can you spare a suggestion please.Nice and clean theme, loads fast too. Your sales pitch is good, here are a few things you can still improve on,
1) link your logo/header with your blog’s link. A clickable logo helps to reach the homepage quickly…
2) Add more content, always good to have more article on the blog.
3) Try adding a bit of social media to your blog, facebook/twitter etc. Social voting buttons on the posts helps as well.
4) use feedburner for your feeds,
over all, you got a good blog,
keep it updated,

In reply to: Check out my WordPress Site…will suggest you to get a webhosting account with your domain, currently it is hosted on a free host, so basically, your blog is on a sub domain.
and apart from that, choose a friendly permalink structure… currently your link structure is the default, make it something like – /%postname%/
i liked your posts though, funny really,
keep it updated,cheers,

In reply to: How Can I Improve? You are using the default them, not much post on the blog, looks pretty much new. Here are a few things anyway that you can improve on.
1) Change your permalinks structure, under setting in your wordpress admin panel. Select a friendly url structure, like /%postname%/ etc.
2) Get a good theme, there are plenty of free themes available, some of them are really good too.
3) Make some categories, write longer articles.. use social media, put some social media stuff, facebook etc. on the sidebar..
keep it updated,

In reply to: New Photography Website CritiqueYour blog and the site, both looks very good. However, configuring your homepage with your blog and making it wordpress is not exactly a problem. Hire someone else and get it done, that is if you want to. It looks good anyway.
Another suggestion, why not make your blog on the same domain, bardsleyphotography.co.uk/blog will be just good enough. It is easy to promote your blog and your site if they are on the same domain.
here are a few things you can improve on:
1) Just checked few of your blog posts, the text of your posts are almost of the same color as your background. Perhaps a deeper shade of black for your text will make it more readable.
2) I like the way you have used the social media, the facebook comment integration, the member widget of the fan page on the sidebar and twitter link, all of these things are great. Would suggest you to add a few social buttons on the blog posts, for example the facebook share, google+1, stumbleupon etc.
overall you got an excellent blog and a nicely designed site,
keep it updated,
cheers,Forum: Your WordPress
In reply to: Istanbul Blog – Comments PleaseI only suggest the Digg-Digg plugin for social buttons. It is really good, has all the buttons that you need… basically the g+1, facebook, twitter and stumble upon is all you need.. and all that is available there,
hi,
Firstly, why not go with popular hosts, hostgator for example has a live chat option, it only takes me a few minutes to fix things through the live chat. They tell me what to do and i fix it immediately… other’s here will give you their favorite hosts, but all of those are popular hosting companies. Now, your host… i have not even heard about them…How did you do the clean install? if you did it manually, uploading files by FTP, i suggest you to go with the auto-install by fantastico.
let the auto install create the My-sql database automatically… once everything is ready, just import your database…
cheers,
