In reply to: Problems getting images to show up in RSS feedAH, I got it. I just had to switch the feed URL from wp-rss2.php to wp-rss.php so as to avoid encoding the content.
I am dumb. Move along, nothing to see here.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Problems getting images to show up in RSS feedOkay, I’m starting to pinpoint the problem – it has got to be something with my WP setup…
Here’s an excerpt from the XML from my LJ syndicated page:– <item>

</item>Okay, so what is happening is the Description tag is what’s being syndicated, not the content itself. The only thing LJ is reading is the description tag. I have html enabled in my descriptions within my WP RSS options. Any ideas on why it’s still not working?

In reply to: Problems getting images to show up in RSS feedOkay, now it’s getting a tad frustrating.
Think it could be because LJ may be looking for an XML file, where WP’s feed is a PHP link? (I don’t know why that would matter, since the PHP generates the XML)Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Problems getting images to show up in RSS feedYeah, it’s kind of weird because the image references within the syndicated content are just vanilla html, which LJ uses and should recognize.
Any ideas on the comments issue, or should I really be talking with the LJ crew on this (since I’ve established that the RSS feed from my site is working)?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: problems with the wp-rss2.php fileI take that back. Just got my blog syndicated on LJ, no problems – still working on sync-up issues with comments. Tried commenting on one of the posts via a LiveJournal account, and it didn’t show up on my home site. Will poke around some more and post my findings. Would also be nice to find out how to get the pictures I post on my home site to show up in the syndicated feed on LJ, since it’s just basic html image references.

In reply to: problems with the wp-rss2.php fileI second that – I’d be very interested to hear some responses, because I’d like to have my wordpress-powered site syndicated onto some of my friends’ livejournal pages.
Is there a way to have the php generator output to a static XML file? Was looking around in the administrative options screen on my site and didn’t see anything on the subject.
