Thank you for your speedy reply and apologies in my delay in replying.

Firstly I uploaded a non-optimised jpg image weighing 642KB 2048px x 1365px to the Media Library. This did create a webp image 496 KB which I could select. Proving then that you were right bout the size as previously the webp was not generated for the fullsize image since I had resized and optimised all images before uploading to the Media Library.

Then I inserted the generated webp image as first image in the page https://firsttempletravel.com/trabzon/

The image served is webp but it does not serve any of the 13 smaller thumbnails it could have used. It uses the original size of 2048px x 1365px

I tested further by adding another row at the bottom of the page with a quarter one fourth column and inserting the background image as the webp previously generated. Again it chose to serve the huge image rather than any of the thumbnails.

I confirm that the image was inserted after installing the plugin.
