Code was good. Changes were blocked by CDN and applied when I purged the styles.css

I can’t speak for anyone else, but I finally solved the problem by updating the Symple Shortcodes plugin. I needed to contact my theme developer for info on how to do it. It was not a simple matter of updating the plugin from the plugins page.
If you have this plugin, it could be the culprit. If it’s not working the visual editor is gone. If you turn it off, same thing. So it would not show up in the usual trouble-shooting.

I too am experiencing the loss of the editor on one of my sites. I have updated WP, turned plugins on and off and renamed the plugins folder just in case one was sneaking through, changed themes, used Google libraries plugin, turned the visual editor on and off in Users etc, etc.
I am not a newbie, but I’m stumped. I’m seeing that this is not an uncommon problem in forums. Any suggestions would be helpful.

After more time spent on settings and research I managed to improve the load time a little. But, I think it is important to suggest that users having problems with javascript files may want to use “Remove Query Strings From Static Resources” plugin as well. This helps with minifying js files

I love the WowSlider, so I’m bummed it is not woking on this new WP site I’m developing- https://50.97.96.80/~jbradmn/
As you can see, the slides are jerking up and down with the transitions. Could this be a css problem too? I’d love to fix it because the sliders that come with the theme are lame.
