Just need to find out how to make it appear only in the main nav. ??Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Site redesign – minimising downtimeAnother possible solution:
Creating a whole set of new pages but keeping them as drafts, then when the new site is ready, renaming the new pages with the URL and title of the old pages, and deleting the old pages.Would this work? Would it demolish my SEO, do you think?

In reply to: Site redesign – minimising downtimeGood tips – thanks. If I use another domain and database (option 2) will I be able to copy the database into my site’s domain and overwrite the old one when I’m ready?

Ok I downloaded this plugin. Silly question, but what do I do with it? Can’t see any controls, and the Contact form is still active.

In reply to: Menu StructureOnly one problem with the custom menu solution.
If someone actually types in:
https://www.mydomain.co.uk/about-us it doesn’t redirect to About Us/Our Story, it just shows the blank About Us page.Is there a way to get around this?
Thanks

In reply to: 100% background on different post IE8You could use a different stylesheet for IE8 and below, and just not have a full screen background for these browsers.
Otherwise you could give this a go: https://srobbin.com/jquery-plugins/backstretch/

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] "Lite" version of The Events Calendar? Thanks. The Events Calendar is a good plugin.
Just finding it a bit too much for my purposes, and the site I’m building is responsive so it would mean quite a bit of extra CSS.
It would be good if there was something very simple that just turned the blog page into an events calendar.
