Turned out I had too much traffic / too many elements to load. I had to switch from deluxe hosting to unlimited hosting because I was using all the resources I had + slowing down everybody that was on the same shared server as I was. The site loads at least 5X faster, maybe 10X faster now. > ahoodie.com

I had tried EVERYTHING before that. Switching to a better server was the only solution.

@roccod – What exactly is ton of traffic?

@randak – WP Super Cache can make wordpress a bit faster thus reducing the bounce rate of your blog. Wp Super Cache won’t get you higher rankings or more referring sites. If you want more traffic you should read about tactics to increase your blog traffic such as this one:

I’m having the same problem with the coolest blog in the world ahoodie.com . Firefox and Google Chrome show 5 columns of thumbnail images for the galleries and IE shows

it’s all messed up. Help.

UPDATE: It’s still slower than ever. I’m doing something wrong but I don’t know what.

(2)I totally agree with ArnoldGooway. You shouldn’t remove the link to your commenter’s website. It’s no-follow anyways.
(1)To answer your 1st question, what you could use for those links to open in a new window would be a plugin called sem-external-links.
I’m thinking this might do the job. Just enable the plugin and then go in the plugin’s option and select:
– Apply globally
– Open in new windows.
Save changes and you should be all set. I just did it on my awesome-to-the-power-of-rad website and it works well.

@greg. Yes I have wp_super_cache installed but it doesn’t seem to help that much. You’re right about all the images…I’ve been saving them top quality for all my posts, I’ll make sure to do save for web in the future. I’ll try transfering the website on another server tonight, see if it makes a difference with my friend’s dedicated server. Thanks G.

@iridiax. Thanks for the link. I found an interesting thread on how upgrading from php 4 to php 5 does a big difference, so I just did and I think it helped!
