In reply to: [UserPress] A few glitchesAfter three days of trying, I have to say:
– I could do a lot of styling, after which I have got a very nice and functional wiki-pages under my site. This required some hard code manipulation as well as changes in style.css.
– Outlook is very clean and sexy. Everything, except the widgets, is now functioning.
All in all, none of this I could have accomplished without this plugin, therefore, I sincerely thank the author for the effort he/she has put into this project!
Bottomline: if you want something ready and without any troubles, this is not for you yet. On the other hand, if you are willing to do minor adjustments, install a few additional plugins to make the default pages remain intact and have the sidebars functioning, go for it. You will not find another similar plugin which does all what this has to offer.
This completes my comments here. I will come after a while to check out if there are any improvements made to this.
I sorted it out via the database. Thank you for your attention.

In reply to: [UserPress] A few glitchesOk, after checking thoroughly, I should have given only a 2-3 stars since this is only an early Beta due to the following (I could not revise my earlier 5 stars though).
1. widgets (most recent, most popular do not function, the content remains the same whatever you choose for the options of the widget)
2. localization is a pain due to the mixed used of various text domains and lack of using proper translation tags. Most of the content must be hacked manually (which all will get lost after an upgrade)
If you don’t want to spend a few hours (like I did and happy with the results – will not be upgrading for a while) with this – don’t use it yet.

In reply to: [UserPress] A few glitchesI had problems in adding WIKI-widgets to the SIDEBAR of the UserTheme if this were used only for the “/wiki” subdirectory using the “Multiple Themes” plugin in order to keep my default theme. The solution was easy to sort out using another plugin called “Theme Test Drive”. If you are willing to give a try to this plugin using the UserTheme for the /wiki and your own theme for the rest of your site, do the following.
1) Install the UserPress plugin (Remember to deactivate the Wiki Lite if you have this installed!)
2) Go to the themes and choose your default theme again,
3) Install the “jonradio Multiple themes” plugin, and choose the UserTheme only for the /wiki subdirectory
4) Deactivate “jonradio Multiple themes”
5) Activate “Theme Test Drive” and choose the UserTheme for testing
6) Go and customize your SIDEBARS, WIDGETS and all other things what you want
7) Deactivate “Theme Test Drive” plugin
8) Activate again “jonradio Multiple themes”
Voila. You have your default theme as usual and the UserTheme for the wiki subdirectory.Forum: Reviews

In reply to: [Print-O-Matic] Any chances to use styles in the print outputOne minor question: why there is a hidden .svn directory in the new version?

In reply to: [Print-O-Matic] Any chances to use styles in the print outputYou were quick ?? I have just installed and run with the “theme” style. It functions without any problems. Text looks just fine, keeps its original style, without images, sidebars, footer etc. , all which is not needed for clean print. This rocks – superb, 10 points ??
With many thanks.

In reply to: [Print-O-Matic] Any chances to use styles in the print outputSounds great – looking forward to testing it. Any one of the above options sounds ok, maybe #2 is easier for the beginner.
Or maybe this:
1. Option (dropdown/radio button): STYLE / NO STYLE. No style refers to the current version. If STYLE option is selected, then in the folowing option
2. The user chooses from a dropdown list one of the available style sheets in the /css directory (your example css with basic styling examples) or the one which the user uploads to that directory.Doable?
Thanks ??
