I’ve updated plugin and it is compatible with latest WordPress version, you need to save contact form setting once after that it will show fields to add custom error message in ‘message’ tab.

Sorry to keep you waiting, but I need more details to fix your issue, as I’ve tested with latest WordPress version, this plugin is working fine.

You can create support ticket with WordPress version and other details also try to deactivate other plugin, there might be some conflict issue.
