Time.ly has been runing for over a year with no problems until a day or so ago, when I think I updated it. Please help! Thank you!

    Time.ly Version 2.5.13

    Akismet
    All-in-One Event Calendar by Time.ly
    Easy Twitter Feed Widget
    Fast Secure Contact Form
    Google Analyticator
    Google XML Sitemaps
    iframe
    NextGEN Gallery
    Sermon Manager for WordPress
    WPFront User Role Editor

here is the site I am working on:
    https://mccdc.com/event-calendar/

when I try to move to another date, the error I get is:

Something went wrong while fetching events.
    The request status is: 200
The error thrown was: SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0

then when I click for details:
    Response text received from server
    <h1>Exception thrown</h1><p>’either iconv’ or ‘mb_convert_encoding’ must be available.</p>

    thank you for your help.

I am having the same problem, but I do not have spam blacklist installed. I have disabled all plugins, and tried each one by one and it is not the plugins. I have looked at the htaccess. and there is no ~ .. the calendar worked fine for a couple of years and then I updated it a couple of days ago and now I get this error:

Something went wrong while fetching events.
    The request status is: 200
The error thrown was: SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0

then when I click for details I get this:
    Response text received from server
    <h1>Exception thrown</h1><p>’either iconv’ or ‘mb_convert_encoding’ must be available.</p>

I am not a programmer, and have no idea where to look or what to fix. can you help? The Time.ly site only has strings that are 1-2 years old.

the site I am helping with is https://mccdc.com/event-calendar/
try to click to next month or another date, I get the error.

    Thank you for your time.
