Sweet. Thank you for the feedback .
1. Figured you wouldn’t, for this exact reason, haha — but was brainstorming so chucked this idea in there anyways.
2. Interesting…I am sorry. I had not taken volunteer number into account. With how active the forums are, and how big WordPress is, I figured there was like…thousands of you guys. Oops!
3. Can’t wait to see what happens when that gets into the mix! I’ll definitely still be around with WordPress when that happens.
4 (the bonus support/chat info) — Thanks for that, and the invite! I’ll bookmark these, and get slack setup later tonight. Been wanting to slowly inch into the volunteer stuff for a while, and recently hit a new job where I will be able to have time for it, so this is definitely appreciated. Thank you.

In reply to: [Simple Events Calendar] It's not a chart calendar…but it does it's job well.Yeah, you’re right. Sorry about that. That day was a horrible day, and I was at ropes end on so many different things. Had gone through about 5 or 6 different plugins like this one, hoping to find a chart calendar plugin, without having to go to codecanyon, because I was already pretty far over budget on a project…and yours had given me higher hopes, because you have a picture of the specific type of calendar i was looking for, set as the header image for the plugin. I rarely fully look through the descriptions and screenshots, because so many other developers out there barely even bother with them. Just kinda gave up on even checking for them after a while.
I’ve just always known calendars to be the actual grid calendars…I’ve never heard of anything else being referred to as a calendar. My mistake for not looking it up first.
Anyways. That was piss-poor behavior on my part, and no real excuse for it, and was poor stress management. I am sorry for the offense, and all I did was manage to embarrass myself I’ve bumped my review up to an actual review. This plugin did do well as an events manager type of calendar, just wasn’t what I was lookin for. Best of luck to you with future developments.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] Forced me to Rate themLike you, I had left a bad review for this exact reason.
Just tried it again, today, and thankfully they have removed that popup.
Went back and edited my previous review to reflect that, and this is going back into my toolbelt!

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] undefined function ajaxFormJust in case anyone is wondering — Jabari’s Solution works wonderfully (since there wasn’t any real confirmation about whether it worked or not)
Implemented the ajaxform.js and everything went back to normal ??
Best Regards.

In reply to: [Super Simple Related Posts] Okay so this is how this went….No problem
Yes, I have seen it so many times! I don’t know why I was such a fool to skip over it in the first place.
The second harsh reality that caused me to do that is that it’s about a 50/50 shot. Either the plugin is actually crap, 50% of the time, or there are just a few people who are being unfair, the other 50% of the time (like this case). I should learn to check for that BEFORE skipping over. I am sorry for that ??
I also threw up a couple suggestions, in a later review edit, that may help out a bit? Just thoughts though.
The main one concerning the image.
“Ability to choose thumbnail size (cropping)
For example: I have some posts that use 1200×600 banner-style images.
However, in the related posts section, I’d love to be able to use the custom square cropping that I added in with add_image_size.”I added this to the copy of the plugin I downloaded (just kinda hacked it in there).
Thoughts on possibly having this in a future version, by default? An input box, or shortcode attribute that asks for the image size name, and then grabs the image size, based on that name.
Edited my original.
Thank you for the reply, and I am sorry for the trouble. Acted on impulse and frustration after counting on multiple maps, only to find that I needed the pro version for that, and project funds were already fairly dry so I couldn’t really spring for it…we ended up going with simply using the iframes of maps for now, but will probably grab the pro version of this sometime soon, to upgrade those maps. After an actual review of the plugin, you guys do have a decent plugin.
Best of luck to you on future development and sales.

In reply to: [Font Awesome] Not an intuitive plug-inI’m not entirely sure where you are coming from with this…maybe it was different 7 months ago, than it is now…but it’s one of the most simple plugins that I have ever seen for this type of thing.
You install it.
You reference the FontAwesome Cheat Sheet.
(they provide a link to the cheatsheet pdf in the description)
You pick an icon from that sheet.
Copy and paste that name into the name=”” field in the shortcode. So for example:
[icon name="icon-camera"][/icon]
Would create a camera icon.
Done.
You can also add custom CSS to these icons, by including a class within the name field…
So for example, I wanted a circle with an icon in the center.[icon name="icon-trophy circle-it"][/icon]
That creates a trophy icon with the extra class “circle-it” so that I can apply any css that I want to that icon.
I do not understand how much more intuitive you need for font-icon shortcodes.
It’s actually really simple, and exactly what I was looking for to incorporate into a site-build that I am doing, and will probably end up using it in a theme that I am building later.

In reply to: WordPress slider only displaying 5 out of 6 imagesStrange.
Looked at the source code again and it actually isn’t using the plugin version. I am sorry that I mistook that and I realize now that someone set it up manually. It is either set up to get featured images from posts/pages based on a specified category, or the images are listed manually in the code itself.
Quickest way to find out exactly how it is working is to dive into the code and look around.
First, let’s check out the header.php
1. Head to appearance -> Editor
2. List of files on the right hand side, click “header.php”
3. Press “ctrl + f” on your keyboard to bring up a search by word prompt
4. type in: id=”showcase”
5. If it finds it, please let me know what is between the <div id=”showcase”> and a closing </div> a few lines down.
6. If it does not find one, continue onto the next section.I noticed that there is a div called “homeGallery” so the next logical place would be to look in a home page template.
1. Head to appearance -> Editor
2. List of files on the right hand site, there should be something like “home.php” or “home-page.php”…if neither of these are present, try finding “blog.php”…if even that is not present, then try the “index.php”
3. Press “ctrl + f” on your keyboard to bring up a search by word prompt
4. type in: id=”showcase”
5. If it finds it, please let me know what is between the <div id=”showcase”> and a closing </div> a few lines down.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: header image changing its positionFrom what I can tell, you fixed it. On the second URL that you provided in your first post the gap between the image and the navigation bar is gone.

In reply to: Full Image PageI wish you luck on the dev’s support forum ??
As for the mosaic question:
It would be best to open a separate topic for that. That way other people know exactly what you are asking when they click on the link, thus giving you the best answers

In reply to: header image changing its positionThere is a:
#content { padding: 40px 0; }
in the css.
That adds 40px worth of padding to the top and bottom of the element with the ID “content”
padding basically adds whitespace to an element so that it can be spaced away from other elements.
If you want to get rid of this gap at the top
1. Go to Appearance -> Editor (this will bring up a style.css file
2. Press “ctrl + F” on your keyboard (this will bring up a search prompt)
3. Search for “#content” and look around until you see the code snippet that I posted above.
4. replace the “padding: 40px 0;” with “padding: 0 0 40px 0;”this will remove the padding on the top but keep it at the bottom.
Keep in mind though, that if you update your theme (you mentioned that you are using a modified version of AccesspressLite) your changes will be overwritten unless you are using a Child theme

In reply to: Full Image PageFor something, like a premium theme, it may be best to contact their support. By contacting their support, you’ll ensure getting the best answer, because they know their theme inside and out. They’ll be able to tell you the what and where (and possibly even offer to do it for you, as most premium theme authors offer customizations to their themes)

In reply to: One web site, two WordPress accountsIf time and aptitude is limited, then it may be best to contact the support of your hosting provider. They will most likely have the power resources to move the necessary directories without you needing to hire in or do it yourself. Knowing product support for most hosting providers, this would probably span over a day or two until they successfully get you back on track.
